I'm in the market for new irons....I was just wondering if I should wait until Golf Fest 2016 in San Diego comes to town......Is golf fest worth the wait to get great deals on equipment?

I don't know the specifics of Golf Fest (although I should, given how close to me it is!), but in general, these golf shows (I'm assuming that's what it is) are great places to see and demo and compare a bunch of new clubs, but the newest stuff probably doesn't have that many great deals that are uniquely there (manufacturer minimums and so on).

There used to be a golf show on Long Island that was always promoted with "great deals", etc... There were NEVER any "deals" on new equipment. Strictly MSRP or higher. The deals were on used and off brand name stuff, outlet mall seconds on clothes, and the like. 

Usually $5 or something to get in- that got you an entry for a "vacation" at some time share golf resort, and maybe a subscription to a golf magazine. Usually would pick up some off name gloves for a few bucks to have as spares for whatever reason. Might find a golf related doo-dad or something, but never went specifically to buy clubs.
