Let me start with this, I am left handed, I do most things LH other then golf. I was taught RH and that's what felt right to me(no pun intended) I have always had a bad slice as a RH golfer. I had tried LH at one point in the past, I could hit the ball straight but didn't have much distance. So I went back to RH, now as I am getting older and have lost a lot of distance anyway.....why not hit them straight and enjoy the game? So I am back to LH and I'm just sticking with it. The more I pick up the lefty clubs the more natural it feels. Just wondering if others have done the same also?

I just can't understand how any right handed person can play left handed. My left arm is there for balance only, it serves very little purpose otherwise

In my bag (Motocaddy Light)

Taylormade Burner driver, Taylormade 4 wood, 3 x Ping Karsten Hybrids, 6-SW Ping Karsten irons with reg flex graphite shafts. Odyssey putter, 20 Bridgestone e6 balls, 2 water balls for the 5th hole, loads of tees, 2 golf gloves, a couple of hand warmers, cleaning towel, 5 ball markers, 2 pitch mark repairers, some aspirin, 3 hats, set of waterproofs, an umbrella, a pair of gaiters, 2 pairs of glasses. Christ, it's amazing I can pick the bloody thing up !!

Really glad you started this post as I've pondered this issue "from the other side". I recently had a lesson with Shawn Clement. Very interesting person and I had always enjoyed his YouTube videos. There were 4 of us so not a lot of individual time which I needed, but in the end Shawn recommended I play right handed which was disappointing to hear. I've played golf since I was about 8-10 years old left handed. Although I'm essentially ambidextrous, right handed golf "feels" horribly awkward. It's very odd with me however as my feelings of sport activity handedness is so discombobulated. My stats of handedness are as follows:

golf: left,

bat/throw: left

frisbee: right

tennis: right

bowl: left

write: right

with all of these I can make do either hand really except for writing and golf. Opposite hand on those two, no way. It's so damn odd.

I know I can't write RH, I can but you would have a hard time reading it....lol

when I was young LH golf equipment was hard to find, or maybe my parents didn't want to find it because RH was everywhere?

Either way, I feel that LH is the right choice
