I've been Playing Golf for: 26 years
My current handicap index or average score is: 7.6
My typical ball flight is: draw
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: all of them

Please....throw the book at me!  I hope the quality is good enough. These were easy to get at the simulator place this morning. I think the 8 iron swing is a bit better. All morning in the simulator I was trying to make driver swings without losing my spine angle into impact. I think this is something I need to fix. I think it (the stand up move) may be traceable to something I do in transition....but hey I don't know. All I know is that I don't look right in my upper body through the hitting zone, especially with the driver. It's there with the 8 probably, maybe just not as severe.

The video has been slowed down by 1/2 in all of these....but this swing was also a very low speed swing. The simulator gave me only 198 yards....I was swinging very slow and attempting to keep my spine angle better. I actually tried to feel like I was moving my upper rotational center TOWARD the ball in the transition and downswing. The form of the swing maybe looks a bit better, but I still stand up and lose the angles. My entire body seems to turn together and I don't seem to get enough lead with the lower half....maybe this is why I have to stand up on the shot?  HELP!! :-)

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I'm limited at the moment to the very convenient film setup in the simulator I subscribe to.

Just realized that I screwed up by not putting the camera on the toe line.

I will re-post tomorrow....

Please feel free to make comments anyway....

I will wait for the better videos before making more than a cursory observation. The first thing that strikes me is that you let your right arm get behind you a little bit. From there it is full out recovery mode to get it back into position. You early extend and straighten the right arm to try and catch up.

Here is a great video for you to consider.

Thanks. I saw that, too....the right elbow being quite far back. I don't think it is quite as severe as in the instruction video, but I've actually been working on getting a more vertical plane with the backswing path. This key--the upper right arm staying against the torso--really helps with that. I never felt "stuck," but when I try this drill I feel "oooh, I have lots of room now." Can wait to hit some balls this way.

I really think I need to get my left hip turning more and getting behind me more in the hitting zone though...so that I don't have to staind up/lose posture and straighten my right arm early and so forth.
