Gigagolf? Need feedback

I am currently playing a set of ben hogan, a box set i bought years ago. I play about 6 times a year so i don't want to spend a lot. Whats the consensus on gigagolf?  They have great prices but are they good?

If you want to go this route, I would look at Hireko Golf and see what they have.  I have dealt with Gigagolf and had no problems with them, but like Hireko better...

I'm a fan of Gigagolf, but I think it depends in part on your sizing and fit. The fact that length and lie adjustments are included in the price are part of the value there. But if what you need is really just standard length and lie, you might even find better value in off the shelf major brand stuff that is a little older on clearance, or lightly used pre-owned.

I've also scored some great deals on Gigagolf's preowned section, but there's not that much on there now, and you have to watch for something that is the right fit, flex, etc.

Ive played around 5 rounds with my new trx control irons i got the fitted ones e-fit i think they call it,i havent had a problem with them the distances are the same from my last set of irons which wur taylormade burners!

Thanks for the advice. I ended up getting a set of mizuno jpx-ez irons. Well, my wife got them as an early birthday gift.  We found a good deal for a new set and figured we'd jump on it.

I know you already sorted this out, but for anybody in the future, I would give them a thumbs up.  I had problems hitting any woods, but decided to get some anyways.  Sometimes their specials are great.  I got a 3 and 5 wood with free shaft upgrades to Grafalloy ProLaunch Reds for $80 total (and got a 56* wedge, and a 3 iron because it was like $8-10 each), which got me free shipping.  I put down regular shipping, and although they said 3-5 business days to customize, and 5-7 to ship, I had them at the range the 8 days later (ordered on a Sunday, got them on a Monday).  The iron and wedge feel great, and the woods hit well.  They aren't amazing, I've tried others that I certainly hit a few yards (maybe 5-10, as much as 20 for extreme cases) farther, but at $40 per, you can't beat it, and worst comes to worst, I just pull the shafts and put them in a better head (I'm pretty sure I got the whole club for cheaper than the shafts normally are).  And the e-fitting really works.

Overall, Gigagolf is pretty much just all the major brands clubs from 3 or 4 years ago.  Has technology really changed that much in those years?  Not really, but the big brands would sure like you to think so.  They also have some interesting products, like a full hybrid set. Yes, you can have a 9 hybrid and even a pitching wedge hybrid (whatever that means).  They also have a 30 or 60 day return policy, which is nice for giving the clubs a try, and when you can put together a whole set for around $300, it's good enough for most beginners or someone on a budget.

I have a full bag of Gigagolf clubs.  I played Tommy Armour 845 Silver Scotts for about 20 years.  The clubs I have bought from Gigagolf are FANTASTIC! Here is what I have: (all senior flex steel shafts)

GXz Ti driver 12 degree  $97.50

Gx 3 wood 15 degree

TRX Power Slot irons 3-PW

52 degree gap wedge

I absolutely love these clubs.  Had an issue with one of the drivers I bought, the company bent over backwards to make it right. Somewhat different than my old irons.  Once I was used to them, I hit them farther and straighter than any of the 3 previous sets I have owned.  I do not see myself buying clubs anywhere else ever.

I have purchased gigagolf hybrids, woods, irons and wedges. The only ones I still play are the irons. I would never buy the woods or hybrid again. They don't play nearly as well as my taylormade woods. I'd recommend just getting a used set of woods if you want to upgrade on a budget.

IT may have been a year since posting but i've used Gigagolf bought their clubs and they are perfect on their word to honor their marketing return, replacement, or refit. their irons replaced my 1992 cobra oversized irons late last year an dmy handicap has gone from a 12 -13 to 6-7 . I have no issue with Gigagolf!

I just received my Gigagolf Power Slot irons and P3 driver a week ago and have only hit them once so far. So the verdict is still out.  For me it doesn’t make sense to pay upwards of $1,500.00 or more for a bag of name brand clubs. I don’t play well enough to justify that. These came fitted and appear to be very good quality. Assuming I like them, when my 30 day trial period is up I plan to get a 3 wood and sand wedge from them too.

Definitely a step up from my old clubs. I’ll write a review after I have played them for a while.

Haven’t used them for a while but my past experience has been very good in the main, even shipping to the UK.  They expose the economics of the big brands who largely buy from the same Chinese factories in all probability, but are forced into high prices to pay for endorsements, supply chain costs (retail and golf pro shop margins) and advertising.  I bought an Nike SQ clone that was awesome and a few hybrids.  The Giga advantage is that you pay realistic prices for high quality products, custom built to your specs. The downside is the slightly cheesy design aspects and the fact that they lag behind a bit technology wise.  Their Pursuit line do look great though.

How long did it take you to start hitting your new clubs to your satisfaction?

The 3 wood and SW will be here Tuesday. And I just received a Pinemeadow 3 hybrid. Heard only good things about Pinemeadow, and since I can’t hit my Mizuno 17* CLK anyway I figured I could give them a try.

I own a set of gigagolf and as a beginner I enjoy them.  Especially for the price and perceived build quality.

Let me just say this. I'm a very short guy.   I'm only 5'4 with a 29 inch wrist to floor.  I cant just pick up any club and swing it. Y height forces me to choke down to the head head where my lead hand is literally 3 inches off the darn grip.

Getting clubs from GG that are fitted for me at an affordable price as a novice has been great.

With that being said, I goofed up and rushed through the efit system so didn't order the perfect fit myself.  

 

I plan to get them refitteda bit when I can but def plan yo use GG in the future.
