I got fit at GolfTEC back in February and we determined that I should "cut club shafts by 1/2-inch" to account for my lower wrist-to-floor as well as adjusting my lie to bring the heel down a bit. When we spoke about it after the fitting he said just do the irons for now. So I did this for my P-5.

I've changed my swing quite a lot since moving to a new instructor and want make sure I don't have any weird inconsistencies with my clubs.

Should I go ahead and get everything else cut down by the same 1/2" now? is there no factor on how much to cut out of a club shaft going through the range of clubs (especially the woods) or is it usually just some static number (in this case, the 1/2-inch)? The clubs I haven't had adjusted yet are my Driver, 3W, 2H, 3H, 4i, AW, and SW. I didn't do my 4i at the same time even though it was part of the R9 set PW-4 because I was using a 4H at the time. Turns out I prefer the longer irons so I pulled the 4i out of the closet and put it in my bag in place of the 4H. I also picked up the iron-profile type Adams 2H and 3H. I also bought the R9 AW I found used online so I need that one done too.

Your input would be greatly appreciated. I need to get the new clubs some new grips anyways so I'd like to do all this at the same time if it's the right move!

Thanks!

Hoping to get some insight on this from someone before tomorrow morning :-( I'm taking my driver, 3w, 2h, 3h, aw, and sw all to get cut down some. I think 1/2" is safe (especially on the longer clubs)... but I'm nervous I'll have to shorten them a little more - if that's a thing.

If I was you I'd just cut down the 4i and gw that match your iron set. That way if you change your swing and find out you don't need your clubs cut down it won't affect your all of your clubs.  We tend to replace drivers faster than most clubs so you could just wait until you look for a new driver and get that custom fit.
