Today when I was working out on the practice green at the course I was pitching balls up onto the green from various distances and spots. Once I had finished pitching I had 14 balls on the green lying in various spots on the green. Those 14 balls were anywhere between 15 and 7 feet from the pin. I took my PW and hit each one one-handed toward the cup simply because I figured it would be easier to bend down and collect them all once I had them all in a tighter grouping. The interesting thing was that every one of those 14 balls went into the cup. I couldn't believe it. If I was to try to make all those putts with my putter I would expect to make only half of them at best. I am merely posting this because I found it unusual and funny. And as unusual or funny as it sounds, it's a true story.

Buy a lottery ticket.

Assuming a 50% chance of making each individual "putt", the odds of making 14 straight is over 16,000 to 1.

For reference, so far this year, 165 of 207 PGA Tour pros average worse than 50% putting between 5 and 15 feet.

The odds of you or I doing it nonchalantly, with a wedge is astronomical!

It's a universal truth. Great shots made when they don't count.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

That's was a big cup if it holds 14 balls.  ;-)
