2i Putter

Saw something today you don't see too often. A guy we were paired up with putted with an old 2 iron. Said he had been putting with it for 45 years. He was pretty good with it too. 

Seems way back when, he broke his putter with his own car door. Since he had just arrived at the course, with no putter replacement available, he went with his 2i. Never looked back. 

The markings on the club say it is a Louisville H&B GRAND SLAM, with a REG # 87 stamped on it. Shaft material I could not identify. I remember all this because I have the same 2i. Only difference is mine has a REG# 100 on it. I paid a $1.00 For mine at a 2nd hand store. Never thought to putt with it.

So I did a google search. Did it look like this?

Mine does. His did not have imprint on the toe. Mine also has the REG #100 below the grand slam imprint.
