Hybrids

Hybrids are a boon for this "young senior".
Very happy with their high loft and soft settling (when I do my part).
Also very pleased with their performance out of the rough.

Carry both 21* and 24* Ping Raptures.
And, I'll even confess to sometimes carrying the 29* and 32* Callaway Heavenwoods. Great fun for launching high and landing soft!

I'm amazed that noone has said they play a MacGregror MacTec NVG2 hybrid. I've got the 17*, and i hit it farther than my 16* 4 wood. Once you get past the look, it's the easiest club to hit since the invention of the putter.

I ordered a G10 18* hybrid from my local pro, and will be ordering another one when I get the money, it will be another "ping" G10 but a 21*

I play a Sonartec MD Transition 3H 21º UST IROD graphite shaft in regular. Very happy with it, gets airborne easily, stops quick, great punch and dead straight off the tee.

I had a 3 and 4 Taylor Made Clone (I-Rod shafts) in last year. I bought a great Callaway Big Bertha 5 wood (steel shaft) and plan on switching it off with the 3 hybrid. I hit that 5 wood just perfect.

I have a 21 degree callaway x hybrid with a stiff shaft and a 24 degree mizuno fli hi.. love them both. I had teh titleist 585 but it was not that forgiving.

Yes- after years of waffling, I now have 2 hubrids in the bag - #3 & #4 TM Burner Rescue. Started with the #4, liked it so much, I rep[laced the trusty 7 wood with the #4.

I have a Cobra Baffler 3Hybrid which replaced my 5 wood. Its much more versatile than the 5 wood and I have lot more confidence in it. I use it more than my 3 wood.

I have a new Cobra Baffler 18°, and a Cleveland Halo 22°. I took out my Ping 3&4 HL irons, my 5 wood, & added back my CG10 60° wedge.
