I did a quick search here and on Google and can't find any information about Slazenger golf clubs. Does anyone use them? Has anyone used them? I'm looking to "upgrade" my current set. I seen a set of Slazenger Irons at Dick's Sporting Goods but I'm not sure I want to spend $250 (marked down from $399) on a set of irons when I can buy a complete set of clubs for $50 more. Dick's currently on line has a set of Slazenger Wrath clubs for $299. I made the rookie mistake when I was at DSG the other day and didn't get the "model" of the irons I was looking at. I will be going back on Friday night so I'll look then. What do you all think? Any suggestions on clubs that I should look at? I'd like to keep it around $300-$350 for a set. Does anyone know the possibility of them throwing in a driver or two and a bag with the purchase of a set of irons? Hey it's possible right?? Thanks guys.

I've never tried the clubs, but I like the golf balls they make aren't bad. I've seen the clubs at Dicks, and they look pretty sharp. Do they have any demo's you can hit?

On the other hand, if Slazenger is good enough for Goldfinger, who am I to argue?

They do have a set of demo's that I can hit but I'm not sure if they are the Wrath's or not. Like I said I'll be going over there Friday so I'll look at them again. They have some golf balls on sale I want to pick up for a Christmas gift.

I went over to Dick's on Friday night. I looked over the two sets of clubs that I mentioned in my original post. The set of Irons are the Raw Distance set. The set is 3-PW, with graphite shafts. I didn't try these ones out. I figured $250 for them was a good price but I could get a full set for $50 more. I did try the Wrath set out. I don't know that I like the simulators. I didn't feel comfortable hitting into it so it showed on my swings and "distances". The clubs felt good. They felt lighter than my current set. I ended up hitting the Driver (which I would probably use very little), 3 wood, 3 iron hybrid, and 5 iron. I found out one of the kinks in my swing/stance is that I stand to far back.

I decided after hitting these clubs that I'm going to wait to buy new clubs until next year. I won a $100 Visa gift card at my company Christmas party that I was going to use towards buying these clubs. I decided that I'll take that money and get out on the course some more this coming year and then next year I'll ask for gift cards/money for Christmas to purchase my new clubs. Maybe I'll find another good set this time next year or they will have these Wrath's priced a little lower.

    • Ahh the old classic "nobody agrees with me so I don't want to talk about it anymore"
    • @anaveragehacker, you’ve been ignorant this whole time and now you’re being disrespectful. Not a great combo. You asked what the rules were and we told you. You complained about them and we told you why they were the way they are. The “who is the committee?” Question has been answered a few times. Dave and I are Rules Officials and the other people replying know the rules far better than you, so the fact that we are all disagreeing with you should say something. this thread is going nowhere and your original question has been answered several times.
    • What is this committee I keep hearing about? We’re a small league playing at a county course. And these are temporary issues that may be gone in a day or two. In any case, I wish more people agreed with me. It seems that trying to convince golfers to modernize rules is like trying to change the Bible. You guys are so serious it kind of proves my point. Other sports make adjustments for  field conditions etc during lower level play. This isn’t life and death here, it’s sport. No need to keep arguing. I have my opinion and you have yours.
    • Yeah, I agree that some of the charts are hard to make sense of. That short game chart is showing how often a short game shot ends up within a certain distance. The orange bar is all shots, the green bar is for shots within 25 yards, and the blue bar is for shots between 25 and 50 yards. I just play around with all of it and will figure it out. I would suggest just diving in and see what jumps out and work on that.
    • PGA Tour players weight shift to their lead foot way sooner and to a higher % than amateur. I would say it is something like close to 90% lead foot at impact for PGA Tour player. For Amateurs it could be under 50%. You need to get the weight transfer over more and sooner. You can't rely on the feeling of finishing on the lead foot as validation you did so.
