I'm planning on getting either a Sony Smartwatch 3 or Asus Zenwatch 2 or a Pebble 2, mainly for golf, but also as a toy I can muck around with. I don't really want a dedicated golf gps watch.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't know about the Pebble. They're not doing so hot financially.

I can't help you much beyond that. I got an Apple Watch and have worn and used it every day, but I wouldn't even really use it for golf yardages or anything. That's what laser range finders are for. :-)
