I was taking a little break from work doing some practice swings in the basement.  Mostly hitting foam golf balls with my 7 iron and then a few chip shots while working on a flat lead wrist.  I decided to pull out some hand wraps from my boxing gear to see what that felt like without being able to flip my wrist at all.  Contact was amazing, at least as good as it can be with chip shots in the basement.  I then decided to do some full swings, maybe 75%.  I noticed I was brushing the carpet with my iron in the exact same spot and for the same "divot" length swing after swing.  Has anyone tried a swing aid like this before, and if so, what were your results?  Part of me was thinking I shouldn't do too many swings like this because I'm almost training my wrist to do nothing.

Is that even legal?  I am not being sarcastic, I really do not know.

another reason I ask, is that I thought I read that Moe Norman did not break his wrist. He more than likely actually did, but it was one of those "feel" things.
