Have you checked what your actual distance is when doing this? I thought I found basically the same thing earlier in the season, but it turned out it was just a compensation and I was only hitting drives 215-220 with that thought. Decent shot shapes mostly, and felt fairly solid, but they weren't actually going that far. And, my miss was a hook.

I got more lasting results by shallowing the club. My method was, get to the top of the backswing, let the club head drop straight down before anything else(palms get more horizontal) then swing away. This had the most immediate impact on my driver and 3 wood.

Can't say with 100% certainly as I was hitting in a dome with a back wall around 85-90 yards. Some seemed obviously short, but others were a nice, climbing trajectory that looked like it would have been equal to my better drives.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

Hit the range today and hit another bucket of drivers with this feel. Much better.  It seems that my issue with driver has been getting stuck and coming into the ball wide open. This feel really seems to be helping me with starting the ball online. The big miss with this is a big pull but I think I can work that out with getting the grip right. Still hitting the odd "power fade ;-)" but that's way better than the dreaded push-slice I was plagued with this year.

Its weird, it "feels" like I need a different sequence with the driver. Oddly enough, it almost feels like a Stan Utley sand shot - swing the arms and let the body follow.
