It's like catnip. Bidding on a Palmer Persimmon Driver. Don't really need it, already have set of Ben Hogan Woods, noticed I am using Ben Hogan 4W more often and hit it  better than my Orlimar Hip Ti driver.  Oh well, should I win...it will look good.

Nice club but like used guns you have to use these tools. Please, NO SAFE QUEENS!  : ) 

I understand your addiction but I refuse to play the bidding game.  If it's a fair price I just "buy it now" or make an offer. There are many decent businessmen putting up nice clubs for very good prices. I have a few nice sets I will be working on. There is also the occasional "antique dealer" who thinks he has gold, don't waste your time with those types.  

Thanks for sharing and let us know how this bad boy will contribute to "the team".

Actually, I misspoke when I said it was an auction, it was a BIN, but also had the option of submitting an offer. I am not familiar with "Safe Queens", however,nor what you mean by contribute to the team?  I guess it goes over my head a bit.

 

edit:  Okay, I did research and know what you meant by "safe queens". The gun analogy threw me off.  "Use it or Lose it".
