Hi) I want to ask a question, maybe its silly))

I have a 5 wood taylormade r5 dual ti. With a stiff M.A.S 55 gram  mid torque soft tip shaft and D2 swing weight.

This is my "go to" club, and always goes long and sort of straight with a nice flight. 185-210 meters.

Now I need a 3 wood and maybe driver. Can I somehow see from this club I love what driver shafts and 3wood would do me good.

I know it's best to get fitted and I will. Just wondering

And what does mid torque soft tip D2 shaft do for the swing??????

The simple answer is to find a 3 wood and/or driver with the same specs as your 5 wood.  As for what a particular shaft does for the swing; consider the difference, in general form, between the hickory and steel/graphite eras.  Were Bobby Jones alive and playing today; his swing would be built around the physical characteristics of whatever implements he chose to use.  If he stuck with hickory shafts, dot-faced scalpels, and persimmon woods...his swing would remain the same.  If, on the other hand, he used "modern" equipment; his swing would, of necessity, alter somewhat.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Depends on the golf shaft.

D2 swing weight is not a golf shaft spec.
