I've heard this tip quite a number of times about keeping your right elbow (for right handed golfers) always touching your side throughout your putting stroke. I've tried a couple of times and it didn't seem to make that much of difference. Has anybody else heard of this? and if so does it really help?

I have never heard of this, I have always been taught to rotate your shoulders and nother else, so if you keep your right elbow on your side then I don't see how you can rotate your right shoulder.

It used to be Greg Norman's swing thought back in the 90's during his putting stroke.

Equipment, Setup, Finish, Balance, and Relax. All equal in importance and all dependent on each other. They are the cornerstones of a good golf swing.

Sounds to me like it would encourage a very in to in putting arc which I personally wouldn't recommend, definitely not a putting tip I am familiar with.
