Hi,

Which of the two is the better super-game improvement iron Cobra Max or Cobra Fly-Z XL?  Which will yield better results for beginners?

This is going to sound like a cop-out, but it will depend on the golfer.  You should get a fitting, or at least try hitting each.

If you can't (or don't want to) do that, just flip a coin.  ;-)

I think Cobra Max has a slight hosel offset which is usually a good thing for beginners.

Cobra Max irons have distinct offset, which can help beginners with hand position. Set designed with low center of gravity to help with high launch. Middle irons are hollow, and short irons and wedges are cavity-back. Also had mix with low-end hybrids instead of irons.

Cobra FlyZ XL irons: reviews said they had a draw bias, and hit the ball high and fairly straight. Two mix variations: 4i-GW, and 4H-6H, 7i-GW.

They appear to be similar; not sure which one hit the market first.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.  It is greatly appreciated.  A fitting or hitting is not an option.
