Hi, I’m looking for recommendations for a used ladies driver with a head size of around 300cc to 350cc, a ladies flex shaft and around 43” or 43.5”.  I’m very, very close to 75 years of age.  I hit my driver (11 deg, 43”) and 3-wood (15 deg, 42.5”) around the same distance (170 yards).  I’m thinking the 3 wood gives me the same distance as the driver because of the increased loft.

So I’m thinking for my height (5’ 5”) and slow swing speed (65 – 70MPH) a ladies drive may be the fit, but I don’t care for the current crop of 400cc - 450cc heads.

I live in Australia but will be visiting the states in late May and hope to find something suitable in Dallas/Ft Worth or e-bay.  What used driver would you recommend that I should consider??

Thank you!

Welcome, @bexar!

Dallas/FtW is a great place to go for golf clubs.

With your situation, you might get fit for both a new driver and a new FW. For driver, a fitter will try to get the best combination of loft and shaft for you.

Also, you might pick up FW distance if you tried a 4W or a 5W. The extra loft often gives people a boost both for reliability, and sometimes for distance too!

You might e-mail some golf shops in Dallas area and let them know you're coming.

Someone with a much deeper knowledge of clubfitting is @1badbadger. He lives in the Dallas area if I remember right. He might be able to recommend a shop or two, and also give you some pointers for driver selection.

(He'll should get a TST notice that we mentioned his name.)

Hopefully @Drv4show comments also.

Bexar,

my first thoughts would be to look into a Taylormade mini driver  which is about a 300cc head

It is what it is
