I usually put an arrow with a "C" on the top and bottom. The arrow is for Arrowhead golf course (my home course) and cc are my initials.

I use a K in a circle below the brand. Over the past 8 years I have left a lot of balls on the course for others to play with.

Colorful, I know. I get tons of comments.

And I get to say things like "People think my balls are cute" "my balls are diseased/spotted/have the measles/are sick today/have chicken pox" and other silly comments.

I can see my balls from a mile away. And where I play most often, Tustin Ranch, the 18th fairway runs along side of the driving range. Tons of range balls make their way over onto the 18th, and I can find mine fast. Everyone else has to pick up each ball to check it.

One box is not pictured that I spotted, and it took so long that I watched The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only between the time I started and finished. Wife and kids were out of town, I was bored, and I drank Lagavulin 16 while I did it. So I had fun.

that is pretty clever you are quite the artist. For me, I like to use my line me up to get a putting line on the ball, and put one dot on each side above the first or last letter. Not very creatice, but I don't know of any other way.

Generally in one of two ways.....in a hurry then I'll circle the ball number with a red sharpie.

If I have time then I'll use a shamrock stencil that I have and use a green sharpie.

As to the guys that switch the boxes around so they can always play the same number.....you are screwing up the next guy who buys the boxes you messed with. I play with an increasingly larger group of players who game the same ball...the ProV1, and have to grab different numbers. It would suck to pay $40 for a dozen only to find out that you had been dicking around with them ahead of time.

I agree and disagree. Everyone can check their boxes to make sure it is what they want. Its kind of like people gaming the bananas. Stores will do everything they can to make you buy a "bunch" of bananas, and people like to break off what they need, mix and match bananas. Some people like greener bananas, and will break off the more yellow bananas, and vice versa. Its just part of it.

I will probably game the ProV1s as well now, and get all "1" balls.

I put a black dot to the right of the number and under the logo, on both sides. I used to do three red dots on top of the logo, but ever since the Studio Select Line came out, it screams out "scotty cameron ho'" too much for me. I like to mark them all when I mark the box, before I put them into play.

I also don't care what number it is, and have never come across a box that wasn't 1, 2, 3, and 4 in that order(I play NXT Tours).

I simply make a black aiming line halfway around the ball, usually covering the text that says what type of ball it is (i.e. Long & Soft).

Does anyone have any tips for making a straighter line though? I have troubles with that sometimes. Lol

I sometimes write pharases in bands that crisscross the ball. Usually inside joke type of things with my main playing partner. If someone finds my lost balls they'd either laugh hysterically or think whoever lost them were a total whack job. Right now I have one with SNL celebrity jeopordy quotes, "Turd Fergeson", "Suck it trebek", Etc. One has "ShamWow, Slap Chop, you're gonna love my nuts, and Vince" written on it. My favorite is to write Top Gun quotes or old SNL skit lines.

I always write a "3" using a sharpie in the blank spot between the two titleist (or other company) logos for all my balls.

    • The highlights as I see them: Championship and Challenger Series The creation of the PGA Tour and the PGB Tour, in the words of Joel Dahmen a few years ago. They're calling them the Championship Series (23-24 events) and the Challenger Series (20+ events). Both run February to August. They feel this will achieve three things: increasing the consistency and quality of fields across the season creating a clear system for players to earn and retain status and delivering a more structured and competitive experience for fans and partners—all in an effort to strengthen meritocracy. Championship Series Structure and Eligibility The 23-24 events includes the Players, majors, season-ending events, and the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. These will be 72-hole events with a 36-hole cut to the top 65 and ties and purses of $20M+. 120 players without an alternate list. 90 players (roughly) from the previous year and 20 players promoted from the Challenger Series. Full eligibility will be finalized later this year. Sites (cities) to be finalized soon, but 10 of the 15 courses have already been determined. Postseason: includes retention and relegation and concludes with match play. The Tour Championship will also be played across a rotation of prestigious courses. Challenger Series Structure and Eligibility 20+ events. Running concurrently. Will feature players fighting their way back to the Championship Series or players graduating and on the upswing from the Korn Ferry Tour. Many of these events will be current PGA Tour courses. About 7 of the Challenger Series events will be during off weeks for the Championship Series with elevated purses and visibility. Purses of at least $4M, with cuts similar to the Champ series. 144 player fields. Competitive Fields for Both Series Players will be eligible for only one series at a time: Championship Series Players are not eligible for Challenger Series events. Championship Series members will have a known schedule with all events having the same eligibility. Players and Majors will have their own eligibility criteria. Championship Series players don't have to play all events. This begs the question about, say, the Canadian Open, and other "home-town" events that players might want to play, even if they're Challenger Series events. Will releases be granted? Promotion and Relegation At least 90 players will be retained in the Championship Series, and 20 players will be promoted from the Challenger Series each year. Battlefield promotion for two-time winners from the Challenger Series. Players relegated from the Championship Series will have a "last chance" opportunity to retain status, or will go to the Challenger Series. Criteria will be finalized before the start of the 2027 season. Points System New points system (not FedExCup points). Separate points systems for the Championship and Challenger Series. Elevated points in the Challenger Series for off-weeks on the Championship Series. More details tk. Elevated International Events in the Fall The fall schedule will include a limited series of elevated international events with top players from the Championship Series, with the intent to deliver in partnership with the DP World Tour as part of the Strategic Alliance. Last Chance Series The Tour will develop a “last chance” series of 4-6 events in the fall, with a limited number of spots on the Championship Series available for top finishers. Eligibility will include players relegated from the Championship Series, Challenger Series players, and other categories to be determined. Q-School continues, as do the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamerica. Also, Brian Rolapp is the new commissioner as of January 1, 2027.

    • Yes, because you have lifted to like 120° without bending the left elbow. So when you turn and the left elbow bends… it bends in such a way that you then lower your left humerus and pull the club around you.
    • Bob Parsons can be a bit much. But… we fit PXG clubs at our academy. Every Tuesday.
