I am getting ready to sell a set of irons and eight pull-out Project X shafts in our Marketplace forum. I want to set up a PayPal account mainly for personal transactions like this, golf clubs and maybe a book or two. I want to be able to buy or sell on occasion.

Should I opt for a Personal or a Business version of PayPal? The PayPal phone advisor said if I had a business account I could link in my business website and get better promo of the business. Thing is, I don't have a golf equipment website and business; most of the sales or purchases would be one-shot things mediated by our Sand Trap Marketplace forum, or a simple person-to-person over e-mail.

Should I set up a Personal or Business account, or doesn't it really matter in my case?

Yup.

The only reason you'd want a business account is if you want people to be able to pay you by credit card as "guests", without creating their own PayPal account.  I don't think you can do that with the personal one.
