Have now played both 4 and 3 piece Kirkland...4 piece even spins on my wedge shots, but 3 piece seems to go a little farther and still has some stopping power....would put the 3 piece up against any $29 a dozen ball on the market.....the 4 piece IS NOT a challenge to the ProV1, but if your not at the level where a shot or two makes a difference the 4 piece is a great deal....Even your at a 12 handicap or better and still have time in your life to get better stick with the ProV.  If your fighting to keep a 12 or more and do not have the time to get better then the Kirkland balls are worth trying.

I just bought 2 dozen of the 3 piece balls (only ones available on the web site).  We were in a store yesterday and I forgot to look to see if they had any in stock.  I haven't decided if I want to start using them yet or wait until I go through the collection of balls I currently have.  I think I'll play with the old ones this weekend and see how it goes.  At the rate I lose them on a regular course (I usually play a par 3 course, and I can't hit my driver worth a crap) I'll probably have no choice about using the Costco balls before too long.

Got to play alone on a big course today...a real great wide open 540 yard par 5...out came a dozen Kirkland 4 piece and a dozen Kirkland 3 piece (107 degrees out no one for miles behind me) Hit 24 drives, 12 of each...no real difference in distance or distribution with either ball. (12-14 handicap the last 5 years) took all the balls to 100 hundred yards and hit 24 50 degree wedges to a green (hard in the heat)....3 piece ball flew a little farther and 4 piece ball did stop a little quicker on the hard greens.....I cannot see why anyone in my handicap range would not be happy with the Kirkland 3 piece unless they want the 4 piece so they can spin the ball a tad more...(at this handicap we are short of the stick 8 out of 10 times anyway right?). Both ball hold the line on the putts just as well.....3 piece ball from china, safe to say Costco will have them for awhile.....the 4 piece ball has manufacturing issues as the maker is a partner with Taylormade....

I just recently found a Kirkland ball on a nearby course. It was in a place where it couldn't have been lost for long, so I suspect it's new issue. The next time out I decided to put it in play, and I liked it very much. It had just the "feel" that I like, displayed excellent distance, and held greens very well.

    • Yeah.  As far as remaining still, I was thinking body rotates around the spine like an axis.  Instead of pivoting, some like me, sway, come off that axis, leave weight on back foot, etc.
    • I apologize on behalf of… idiot men. Sorry about that. Next time, tell the guy to shut up. 😛  Day 553, May 8, 2024 18 holes from the whites with @rwolfe. Windy AF today, but hit some good shots. Slid back a little from where I was the previous two days, but… I can get it back. Made a pretty nifty birdie on 12 from some pretty odd places. 😄
    • The angles look fine. Get as much light as you can on the area — you want the highest shutter speed you can get. Less blur.
    • Snap @ Tour Spoon! Birdied 11 yesterday. Hit a poor iron ,stopped on edge of bunker , pitch with my lob wedge landed about 6’ away and went in. Only 12 & 14 to go, long par5’s into the prevailing wind. Might be waiting a while although I did have about 15’ on 12 after the birdie on 11, didn’t miss by much.
    • Tested the Maxfli TourS yesterday. Compared to my former ball, the Titleist AVX, I got an extra 10 yards off the driver and half a club (5-7 yards) off the irons. The combined extra yardage from the driver and fairway wood meant that on par-5s where I usually hit an 8-iron third shot, I hit a PW. It's just a smidgen softer than the AVX and seems to spin well. Some of the reviews indicated a low ball flight, but I did not notice it. I also did not observe any problems with the paint quality, which was an issue with previous Maxfli models up to and including the U series.  My previous round I tested the Bridgestone E6, a two-piece ball with a different cover. It was OK; the same distance and feel as the AVX but with less spin.
