I have a Motocaddy S3 that’s developed a problem. When you plug in the lithium battery the wheels immediately engage. Pressing the speed dial does not start not stop the motor, it just keeps running. The speed dial does rotate increasing / decreasing the speed dial number. When I press the speed dial the control unit illuminates one light. When I press again with the speed illuminated all 3 lights illuminate. Does anyone have any idea on the cause and solution?

Sounds like maybe the speed thing is permanently stuck in the "go" or "on" position.

Maybe a short somewhere. Have you checked all the wires?

Motocaddy S3

I would suggest contacting the manufacture and discuss your situation with them.
Otherwise, if your mechanically inclined to tear into the caddie and look for suspicious faulty wiring and testing.
Components are very susceptible to moisture when stored and during usage.
Getting caught in the rain while playing could develop problems.

I tried Motocaddy who recommended a motor that I now need to return at my cost.  Their next is to purchase a control box but the lights illuminated on the control box suggests there’s not an issue. Hence why I’m seeking advice.

Odds are we aren't going to know more than the manufacturer themselves…
