I was wondering about the back swing

. I have a frend that is a single diget handicap but stuggles with the tee shots. In his back swing he lowers quite a lot(sits down) And as soon as he gets to the top and start down he stands up gradually. I see most tour players stay still in the back swing, and in the through swing they lower a bit and half way down they exsplode to the top.!!!??

There is more than just one way to hit a ball. It's what ever works best for the individual golfer.

Myself, I don't raise, or lower my shoulders much at all during my complete swing. I am a the less movement in my swing, the fewer compensations I have to think about kind of swinger.

If the swing works, there is nothing to fix. That's not to say a good swing can't  be improved. Golfers should try different things. It's part of the journey.
