Going to be there the weekend of Memorial Day and was going to attempt to play there. Not Shenendoah course (PGA Level Course). Anyone ever play any of these courses? My wife is a near top  rewards card holder (Sapphire Member) so we get discounts on golf. I will try anything even the Par 3 course I hear is nice. Anyone have any info on these courses let me know. Thank You.

What's in the bag?

Played the nine-hole back when it first opened. One of the top rated nine-holes in the nation designed by Rick Smith. Great for sharpening your irons. No one was on the course! Lots of sand, challenging speedy greens, and some fair amount of area around the greens to allow for missing but no flat lies.

My wife hits a reasonably long ball but at the time wasn't getting her irons in the air. If you can't get your irons in the air bring lots of golf balls. Lots of marshy areas protected from you entering to retrieve the ball. We had payed to go around twice. After the first 9 holes she lost 10 balls and was totally frustrated, but by the end of 18 she was getting the ball in the air consistently and that year her handicap dropped 10 strokes.

Grab your wedges and give it a try. Its worth the time.
