I recently moved close to a golf studio fully equipped with a full gym, indoor chipping and putting areas and most importantly a range equipped with trackman launch monitors.  With the season getting such a late start in MN (we will be hitting off mats for the next month at my local range) I decided to get an introductory membership to use this golf studio's equipment to get ready for my golf trip later this month.  This begs the question, How can I utilize the Trackman to get the most benefit for the next month?

I plan on starting by getting my carry yardages dialed in for all my clubs including the LSW tips on multiple wedge numbers for each wedge.  Outside of that, I don't have any formal lessons with their staff (I could add them if I feel so inclined) but I was wondering how else could I maximize my availability to these machines while I have the time?

The instructor set me up with a My Trackman account, and after perusing the site I found a large number of videos and drills that could be of use.

Any thoughts?  Maybe trying to compare some of my numbers to averages from the site and look for drastic outliers?

Our club has bought a Trackman4 this past winter and I will be using it for a couple of (discounted) hours as well.

My idea is that the first thing I will do is to get my shot zones and carry distances for all clubs and for partial clubs as well for distances under 100 yards.

That will help me with the GamePlanning and should lower my scores quite a bit.

If I will use it after that then I guess I'll have our club pro watching over me and let him take over. I mean I studied golf quite a bit but I'll let him take over for now.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
