I'm a disabled veteran so here in New York I can play state courses for free including the Black at Bethpage, (which I consider a tough course). I have never played it because you have to walk the course, no carts. I've had three back surgeries and walking eighteen is out of the question. Perhaps if I could ride I would attempt it, but I don't think my game is good enough anymore, you need to hit long straight drives to play that course. And talk about roughs.....

Have played a few courses that were chosen for the US Open, Torrey Pines, and a few monster munis with very old trees, water and traps where I know they were placed just to hinder me. I usually come out somewhere between humbled and ashamed.  I usually play a good challenging course, Palm Vally, here in AZ, and one course near by where I can both regain confidence in my game while improving my shot making.  If someone here wants ben to play the more demanding courses see in the Phoenix area, I will ask "when is tea time?"
