This course (Belvedere G. & C.C., Hampstead N.C.) has some unusual features:
1. It's exceptionally short - only 6,370 yards from the tips.
2. It consists of 6 par-3 holes, 6 par-4 holes & 6-par 5 holes.
3. Starting on #6 you will play nine consecutive holes (#6 - #14) without playing a par-4.
4. The greens are small, probably the smallest I've ever seen.

From my perspective, it's a fun course to play and I thoroughly enjoyed the round I recently played there.

that actually sounds pretty cool, and A change from all of the other courses.

That course looks amazingly fun to play... and it looks thoroughly enjoyable...

But there is a 448y par-5, a 163y par-3, and a 334y par-4 on that card (and a few other short-yardage ones)... doesn't that course play a little short?

I love the short-hole links-style courses, and that one looks very well set-up (you can't tell if the greens come close to over-lapping or not, but judging from the water I assume not)... but short water holes (island greens) are the bane of my golfing existence, and a few holes on that course would make me drown myself, hehe.

We have a course that is links style built on an old landfill called Park Ridge. It is county owned and operated and plays just over 6900 yards. It has 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6 par 5s for par of 72 (35-37). There are many elevation changes and blind tee shots. It is very unique for South Florida.

Front 5-3-4-5-4-4-3-4-3
Back 5-3-5-4-3-5-3-4-5

Having a lot of par 5s is kind of cool, but the brutal par 3s make up for it playing at 188, 167, 243, 253, 133, and 174.
