Gonna start putting me a vintage golf set together.  Gonna start looking for some Persimon Woods and 70' style blades and go play a round for fun to see how I do.

I guess you should search eBay for the clubs you want. What irons are you looking for? I have a set of Spaldings from the 70s, they really sucked, don't know how I ever played with them? I think I put them in the garbage last year.

I have purchased tons of real persimmons woods, mostly sets. 1960-70's MacGregors, Peerless, Cleveland Classic driver, stuff like that at Good Will over the years. Let me know if you can't find anything before your trial. I would be glad to send a set to you if you cover the shipping.

I will go down into my basement Hall of Fame and come up with a set.

I also have vintage golf bags.

I'll have you a few set options.

Where are you located?

Iron sets: 40's, 50's, 60's, or 70's?

    • This isn't going to show you lateral dispersion at all. It's basically just a radar (for speed) launch monitor. It doesn't measure spin or anything like that. Not even launch direction.

    • Interesting changes. The idea of relegation and promotion have always been there in a different form (getting and losing your card etc and qualifying for bigger events) but it looks like they want to define it better for top tier events. The Tour has always had A and B level events (and even lower). It will be interesting what they choose as the Challenger Series events and whether some tournaments go to the Challenger Series that used to be prestigious. Not sure how the networks will take to this knowing they have “Challenger” Series events defined that way now. Also, I’m not happy that John Henry and Theo Epstein are involved. Look what Henry has done to the Red Sox.
