  1. Not with us but just in front was the infamous Michael Vick about a year ago. He can't play golf worth a lick and neither could the rest of his foursome. He actually rode back to us and apologized for us having to watch how bad they were. He then gave my friend a beer and rode back up to his group and they finished the round playing Captain's choice so as to not back the course up any longer.
  2. This. Plus, even using a "sniping" program I have have been beaten out by "buyers" that "purchase" 90% or more from them. That said, I stopped buying from them on ebay and if I want something from them, I get it directly from their website. They do have good prices and quality. I can't get mad at them when I buy directly instead of bidding against them.
  3. You could try your best to sort the players into 4 somes that have an A, B, C, and D player. Rather than best ball, try best two balls so that it discourages picking up on a hole.
  4. I have the book. PM me your address and you can get it for what it costs to ship it to you.
  5. Yesterday I only hit one green in regulation and thereby continued my stellar iron play, The saving grace however was the fact that I am becoming more and more comfortable with Aimpoint and coupled with thinking about putting like Brandt Snedeker to keep me accelerating through the stroke, I only had 23 putts and even putts that I missed looked like they were going in as they just slid by. Once I get my ball striking sorted back out, I will be back to my old smiling self. Aimpoint aside, what do you guys think about the way Snedeker putts?
  6. Add me to the evolvr camp. Great guys and know what they are doing.
  7. yep. Like David in Fl said, "It's a stupid game."
  8. I hope you realize that I am not saying that an 89 is my personal worse score because I have shot much worse than that as I was learning to play. I am just saying that it has been years (10 or 15 maybe) since I have missed every green in a round of golf and then I almost did it again today. We all have bad days but I have astounded myself with the total lack of being able to hit a green the past couple of days.
  9. I shot an 89. Started with 2 up and down pars and then made a 39 footer for bogey on number three for my first of 11 straight bogeys, I then made back to back doubles only to make 2 more pars and another double coming in. Today, I only hit one green but shot an 80. I only had 23 putts and chipped the ball very close all day. I only made one really long putt from 24 feet. I just am not striking the ball well at the moment although I did hit 9 of 14 fariways.
  10. Can't remember ever being 0/18 in GIR before.......It was brutal,
  11. Dave still extremely bald?
  12. I am glad you extended the deadline. Life has been getting in the way of golf. I hate it when that happens.
  13. I was there (one of Chuck's students) when all of this came about so I know that Alison is telling the truth about how excited Chuck was about working with her and then "poof" she was gone. Erik is probably right though in that this forum is not the place for all of that drama.
  14. What I want to know is why a guy whose username is "Amazing Whacker" is expected to hit a green regularly from 200 yards perfect lie not withstanding. I just checked and Steve Stricker leads the PGA tour with under 65% from 175 - 200 yards. It's not an easy shot.
  15. You better start out walking then.
  16. In these scam bles, a lot of times you will have a "gross" score which is what your team shot before the handicap adjustment is applied. The adjustment is usually some sort of "average" of the team members individual handicap.
  17. One of my all time favorite bumper stickers: Dyslexics of the World: UNTIE!!
  18. I would think practically any collapsable gym bag would work. You can easily slide the loops of one of those bags over the handle of a push cart. I see guys do it all the time with those collapsable coolers.

    Golf and Yoga

There is nothing quite like "yoga strong" for lack of a better way of putting it.

    Got geese?

Most likely a border collie. Courses can buy them trained specifically to keep the geese off the course.
  22. 72 twice on at the same par 72 track. The best score though was 71 at a par 71 (Honey Bee near Suffolk, VA) that I had never seen before. What made this most special is I did this playing against my "nemesis" and best golf friend Bob when he shot a 72.
  23. I am not entering but do want to say that I have bought multiple items from Global Golf over the years and typically get my order overnight since they are only about an hour or so from my house. This is one of the best golf equipment companies on the web for both new and used items in my opinion.
  24. For P90X you can use resistance bands for the pull ups and weights. They have someone demonstrating how in every workout. You won't need much room at all.
  25. The thing that gets me is how penal the rule ends up being when compared to a "dry" bunker. I rarely get lucky when I drop my ball if I have taken relief from standing water in the bunker. Invariably, I get a plugged lie that is very difficult to play compared to a standard bunker shot. I wish the rule said "place" instead of "drop".
