I work at a private golf club . Titleist is using our club for an armature golf fitting. Four lucky guys were picked from the Team Titleist site to participate in a custom fitting for all new equipment. They are being treated like royalty! They have brought in 200 dozen prov1's & prov1x golf balls and every type of golf shaft iron/hybrid/fairway wood and driver they offer. Would you give up what you are playing if they offered this to you?

!st of all it is great that you are playing high school golf. Relax! you will not change the world how ever you play enjoy! Swing 80 % off the tee every time accuracy is important not distance. As for putting take a nice smooth breath before you look at your line then see the line and hit the putt! Golf is all about being relaxed and confident! Good Luck! -
Just remember, it's a very difficult game and you need .to remember to have fun and be patient. Being with people you have fun with on the course is huge and keeps the game interesting. Good Luck!

evan01 replied to evan01's topic in Fitness and Exercise
I completely agree with sportsnut. I have 2 Dr's and a nurse in the family. The advise was try it for 2-3 months if no difference stop. I have been now taking for over a year and feel great. I buy generic bottles from CVS. Expensive but goes on sale regularly 2 for 1. -

AP1's titleist very forgiving and the 710 can be had for a good price on line or a good resell shop. -
My buddy says golfing with your wife is like kissing your sister don't do it!

Are you sure she is not working for Obama or Tax and take it all Duval Governor of Taxachusetts?

I would play with a regular fit as I did not know any better. I had the pro where I work take a look and he put me in a cadet. I found it to be a much better fit.

Titleist "test" golf balls
evan01 replied to BenGolf19's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Got mine on Thursday. red numbers, big mistake fall golf and lost the 1st one in the fairway in the leaves. Stopped playing the test balls quickly. Member of team titleist I am invited to participate in many surveys. I think it's my 3rd sleeve to try out. -
Do you believe that some in public housing for 20 years has an EBT card, food stamps, free schooling for the kids throw in free breakfast lunch and dinner at school is trying very hard to get off the dole? Do they stop having children we can not afford fathers that leave in the morning and never come back. This country is going down fast and entitlements are the driving force!

How would YOU play this common shot ??
evan01 replied to inthehole's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Spyder look at Phil's ball it's sitting perfectly on top of the grass. The thread is asking about a ball sitting down in deep grass. That flop is easy just need a little confidence and commit to the swing! -

Take a look at the way tiger and jack Nicklaus play it. They have small take away with a high lofted club and stuff the club at the base of the ball. I have tried it and it works great. Ball jumps up and dies with little roll. No scoop no follow thru. The club stops at the base of the ball. Give it a try. If I could post a utube shot I would. No techno skills with the computer. -
Hit your driver! Just choke down and swing 50 %. Take it to the range I guarantee it will fly straight and keep you out of trouble.

I don't know the history of your clubs good or bad are you hitting the ball well? when you feel as if your swing is worth an investment in new clubs then you should buy. The equipment today is great the investment in your swing is more important.. Take some lessons. You might want to look at used equipment first there are many great deals at local clubs and on line. I have a great set of slightly used AP1's if you are interested. LOL.

you could be stressing out to much. I have a tedency to get frustrated after hitting to many uglies. Find the 1 shot that youhit well and relax. Enjoy the moment and see if that makes a difference.

Nicely put slover. If the kid has no back pressure from family or his own thoughts you would hope he enjoys the moment and moves on if the golf life doesn't work out!

TPC Sawgrass, yep the one with the well known 17 hole. I went down with 30 guys and we paid $230 a head. It sucked. The fairways burnt toast only to tee boxes looked green. The fairways had been verti cut and the dead grass bulged along the cut lines. The for-caddies where as bad as the course. Could not get them to stop taking about themselves and look for our dam golf balls. My favorite hole was #10. IT started with a giant dead bird of some kind being pecked at on the tee box even the forcaddie ignored the mess. Now the club house was nice I split a sandwich with my Buddie and they charged us an extra $10 to do this and they cut our pickle in half. There is nothing special about this place to warrant the price and the awful service. Head over to Innisbrook they have 4 great courses you can jump around and play the copperhead course home of Transitions tournament. The Service' food and staff are excellent!
