I don't see how I was wrong...barely keeping his card guy was +4.3, and I said expect the tour players to be +4 or better... Also, there was a calculation for tiger from his home course that showed a double digit cap.

Although this player shouldnt have needed a ruling on a yellow stake, adding a limit will never happen on the PGA tour because the players would be stupid to put themselves in a position where one day they could lose hundreds of thousands of dollars or more because they cannot call a rules official, and their interpretation of the rules does not match the commitees.

For me to get to a +4 I'd have to dedicate a rediculous amount of time to practice. I have other aspirations so most likely I'll never get there, though

I think your perception of a 2capper is quite wrong. A 2capper is a decent Publinx player, plays in State Opens, maybe USGA events (if under 1.4 USOPEN qualifiers). If you meant +2, then you are a top amatuer at the state level, play in the local USGA events, and such. You may be able to turn pro and play some small minitours at +2, such as hooters tour. Expect a PGA player to be +4 or better. Tiger has been calculated to be anywhere from +10 to +13.

The #1 hybrid allow me to hit 550yd par 5s in two and the 3 wood is extra stiff with a larger grip to take the left side out of play on shorter holes where a driver isnt necessary.

You take the club way too far back, and you straighten your right leg out completely on the backswing. Try to keep that right knee in a flexed position all the way through the swing, and it will cut down your backswing severely. You can also kick your right heel out away from your body (pretty severely at first), and this will force you to keep that right knee flexed.

The main reason to not ground the club is so that if the ball ever moves, you cannot get a penalty for influencing it.

The driver off the deck is more of a use once a year shot rather than a regular type shot. It IS a low % shot compared to the alternatives, and thats why you don't see good players use this shot in tournaments (please don't spout off how some pro used it once, or other such thing, because we see more pros lay up on par 5s quite consistantly rather than hitting a driver off the deck.).

A course's rating is not exactly the most scientific setting as it is based off how a group of golfers of different skill levels actually played the course, therefore course ratings are not an exact science, but rather an approximation based on different players performances there.

I've seen people use a sharpie and a ruler to make the line since the original 2 ball came out. Works great if it suits your eye.

1. Eh, I wouldnt let his game dictate mine that much. 2. You are only causing stress upon yourself. 3. This one I agree with. But if you're playing against solid players the only putts in the long gimme range should be for birdies. 4. Again, I don't like to get into my opponents game this much, and if somebody else does this against me, it really makes me think less of them. And on laying up....I would lay up usually if its a small green over water and I'm 2up because then I'm hitting a short 3rd shot, while my opponent is hitting a short 4th shot. No reason to take the risk when the odds are for you. This of course is just my opinion, and I went 4-8 in matchplay this year in the michigan publinx, and only won one match at the state matchplay, so not a great record.

I use a 390g putter and its nice on both fast and slow greens as you dont need to "hit" the ball as much IMO.

I've never seen copper ISIs for sale, but trading up to the Berrilium Eye2s will cost you a few hundred dollars.

How about hitting the ball with a shallower angle of attack instead of trying to find miracle clubs?

Wow....since when have players NOT marked their balls and made lines to help aim? And how much of a hipocritt is one if they say they want the game to be played more traditionally, yet play a titanium driver with a graphite shaft, and moveable head weights?

The ball goes less in fog because A: it's usually colder B: The ground will be softer and you won't get the roll which leads to the perception of a much shorter carry.

I much prefer the look of the 905T and it is much easier IMO to work the ball with it compared to any of the larger headed drivers I've had. (It's not like I'm totally against large headed drivers and technology - I have a Sumo2 coming back from Nike and I started the year playing a R7)

My only hole in 1 has come on a par 3 course. IMO, I still don't have a hole in one.
