  1. 108 4 pars 4 fw 5 gir's I stink
  2. Aren't genetics a biotch?! Just like heart disease and cancer, the swing speed factor is predominatly genetic in my opinion. You can increase it, but a lot falls back on the theory, you are who you are. I have a friend, we all do, who can hit it a ton. PLays very little but generates a lot of club head speed. When I decided to come out of my "comfort zone" I end up hooking the crap out of the ball. Just remember you are who you are.
  3. A friend and I got matched up with an attorney who was a ex USC golfer from the early 90's. Didn't catch his name but he ended up going bird bird bird bird the last 4 holes on 18. Couldn't tell you if he shot under 70, but he owned the golf ball. Keep in mind he was playing from 7,300 course rating was 75 or close to and the slope was 138. Bentgrass fairways and he was ripping up monster divots. Isn't bentgrass the best!
  4. You go on to say that people complaining should play tennis or another uniformed sport, then you go on to complain about the senior tee's at these tourneys you attend. Why not accept the tee location and own those short hitters. Or join a league or tournement where you can play against people who have the same skill set you possess?
  5. Here in St Louis he designed a course call Tapawingo. We usually play it at 6,600 it is fair but challenging. He did well with this course. http://www.tapawingogolf.com/course/index.html
  6. Conventional all day everyday. I have an old ping putter with an old ping grip and I go conventional. I think for me it's the best way to go.
  7. It just depends for me. If the pin is in the back of the green and im close to the edge I like to bump and run. If it is close I still might bump or hit my 58 to have it check up a tad. Full pitches I hit to my ranges. 25 out I hit a half chip with the 54
  8. Missing the cut at the Masters was hardly impressive. I just remain cautious when guys start searching for answers. Didn't Justin Leonard go through a swing change and really started playing poorly, then when he went back to his long time highschool/college coach he really started playing well again. I just don't think swing change guarntees anything, and the chances of you becoming better because of one if just as good as becoming worse.
  9. Ding ding 2 winners lets make it 3! With Ernie its between the ears atleast in my opinion it is. His flat stick has let him down quit a bit too. I think he needs a instructor to help him with his putter.
  10. Depends on the course. If it's a hilly bugger and I'm hungover no way I am riding. If I am feeling fit on a relatively flat course I am game to walk.
  11. Last time I checked Tiger was 32 Ernie is 38. I agree that the change doesn't always mean weakness, but with Els is he getting desperate where as Tiger is looking just to become more dominant?
  12. I think praise for the right thing is a little over the top. I will admit I am glad he did the right thing.
  13. Genetics are a wonderful thing.
  14. Pardon I was a little buzzed ***going through a swing change WTF if you have won 3 majors and countless other tourneys and you are going through a swing change at 38 something is wrong. Be honest is this guy washed up?
  15. I've hit 2 in one round. I'm not all that good so for me it was outstanding. Both where on par 3's where I hit it close to the pin in one round. I believe there was another round where I had 2 on 18 but it is vague. I know I had a birdie and a eagle in a round. That was awesome especially for a 17 hdcp from 6700 yards.
  16. I love the Masters. I think it's the greatest tournement.
  17. Hey I do that lol
  18. Wait till he puts on the Red shirt and hell be ready to own.
  19. I still love watching Big John off the tee box. I just think he sucks with the putter. It almost looks like he could careless about that part of the game.
  20. 86 started off bogey par par par par
  21. ANy tips or drills to get you to keep the club head square the entire swing?
  22. Best thing that sticks out is his par putts. He doesn't miss par putts.
  23. About 5 years ago I was playing at a pretty popular course and there where 10 carts lined up behind the tee box waiting to tee off. I handed the marshall the receipt and got matched up with this old timer. My friend pipes a drive out there about 270+ a really nice drive. The old timer pokes it out there about 220. I then reach back and pop it up like a Mickelson flop shot. I went about 30 yards and then ball fell right before the ladies tee box. My friend then proceeds to say shouldn't you drop your draws you didn't hit it past the ladies tees. Everybody started laughing Most of the carts from what I could tell were laughing, my friend was and the guy I was partnered up with. Even the freaking Marshall was laughing. I was so pissed.
  24. Tiger owns golf it's just that simple. Nobody has a chance of beating him we he wants to win. Only way he loses is when he doesn't care anymore. He is a golf prodigy and we can't understand.
  25. What impresses me the most is the way Tiger can sink par putts with authority.
