It's not Christian it's Crosstian. As in people who nail others to crosses. (A Christian set me straight between the two species. One reads the Bible the other beats people with it.)

What's the hottest weather you've ever golfed in?

Is the golf course in a Hunger Games arena ? -
Applying Game Theory to is there a god: If you believe there is and are correct you go to heaven. If your wrong nothing happens. If you don't believe and are correct nothing happens. If your wrong...................your still covered because in a parallel universe you are a believer. The other guy gets to go to hell. Isn't science wonderful!

The original God Particle Theory states that all that is......is god. That makes us all particles of god arguing whether or not we exist.....in multiple universes....at the same time.....taking both sides of the argument.

What would Tom Cruise do? Great bumper sticker, only most people wouldn't get the joke.

Golf balls or golf courses.....which should be altered?
The Tin Man replied to TN94z's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Those of us that practice with Almost Golf Balls have already limited our ball to fit our practice area. I wouldn't mind have a selection of tour quality reduced distance balls available. It would save me a lot of money on course fees by making the local Ex. 9 playable with long irons and driver. (I could stay in practice with my long irons and driver by playing and not having to use the range.) -
The Devils greatest accomplishment is convincing us he doesn't exist. His mistake was inventing Golf to remind us he did.

Ping Eye 2's, do they still make them?

Stepped in old Troll poop, while saying the "P" word on a full moon. It's not your fault. -

He's a fake. Everybody (in North Korea) knows that Kim Jong il was the greatest golfer that ever was. (I heard he used Ping Zings?) -

Then you can keep the damn things. I got into enough trouble with my Magic Sword, Shield and Helmet. -

I wonder if there's a significant difference in feel between regular Eye 2's and BeCu? Same molds, same shafts and same grips. -
According to the guys with the bad haircuts on the History Channel the statement above is almost correct. We are Mutts made by aliens. (Ancient Aliens, a show that's presented with the seriousness as one on WW2. Tom only gets the silver nut case medal.) Dianetics is a remarkable book! Lets give Ron L Hubbard some credit. He made barely readable science fiction into a tax-exempt religion. Of course everybody knows this is all BS. Earth was started as an intergalactic penal colony for humans that gets blown back into the stone age every now and then. At least this theory accounts for our tendency to breaking helpless golf clubs and our racial and cultural diversity. PS: Golf was meant to be played under lower gravity.

For those used to Dicks or GolfSmith a Rodger Dunn's can be mind blowing. Rodger Dunn's used club pricing depends on the guy working the counter, and the length of the trade-in line. (There's always a trade in line on a Sat. morning) In the chaos some bargains can be found, and some clubs end up way overpriced. It works both ways. (When low balled come back when someone else is working the counter.) Clubs can be traded in, re-tagged and on the floor in minutes.

Longer the shaft = greater the headache.

In my case it's long arms and short legs. -
Wasting time waiting for a flight I learned the following: The old formula Rit works better on Golf Balls then the new. There are other brands then Rit. Surlyn and Urethane take dye differently then nylon balls. To sum it up - try a single ball first before tossing $45 in the dye pot. This link leads to more information on dyes then the Rit site. http://www.pburch.net/drupal/?q=node/1204

Forged Iron Blades - Question
The Tin Man replied to onlybereaved's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
That's horrible......how can anybody do that to their clubs? What hacker did that? Must be that Ben Hogan guy. -
Biggest Problem: Too many golfers using the courses I can afford. (The ones that don't sell clubs and don't have grass ranges to try the clubs they don't sell.)

Comprehensive Camera for Filming your Golf Swing Thread
The Tin Man replied to Harmonious's topic in Golf Talk
Professional Video lighting is expensive. The money is better spent on a more sensitive camera. Most of what you see advertised is for close up portraits, parties or outside use, such as LED's. Lighting a bay is the equivalent of lighting a studio. Google how to light a studio for video. (Strobes are for still cameras not video.) Heat output vs illumination is the issue. The cheapest way to get a lot of light is Halogen Work Lights from the home center/lumber yard. Bounce a couple of 500/1000W lights off the walls. Bounced light is softer casting less shadow then direct lighting. (You can also hang bed sheets and bounce off that.) Now the draw back...........they are hot as hell . Open the windows in the winter hot. Also white balance can be a bit wonkey. Professional daylight corrected Fluorescent bulbs from a camera store cost $15 and it will take a bunch of them mounted in $10 chicken coop lights (hardware store) to equal one $15 halogen work light. However they don't cook the room. "Professional" (sold as such but not really) reflectors cost $50 and are not much better then chicken coop lights. PS: The Hollywood name for an overhead, horribly expensive light is "deep fryer". (Actors are paid to sweat.) -
Carry bag is ruining my clothes
The Tin Man replied to longbow's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
The culprit is a cheap dye job. Either toss the bag or treat it with a leather sealer like Resolene. Is there a Tandy Leather store nearby? If not ask the local shoemaker what to use. Since the bags not leather an upholstery sealer would probably work and will be easier to find. I have ran into this with motorcycle gloves and ended up throwing them away. I would toss the bag. The biggest issue is what to replace it with, all this new crap comes from the same factories.
