There are actually valid arguments on both sides here. Just last night on the news I saw where in my state (IL) they have changed (softened) the marijuana laws/penalties in Chicago. While it remains illegal everywhere, the penalties in many cases are very minor, and are going more in that direction. But, to suggest it cannon have an effect on many jobs and other ramifications is just completely wrong. And to suggest it is a fabric or culture accross the board in any society or sport is also completely wrong.

"Holds it's value"? Well, if you look at a putter as an investment, ok. I didn't say to base your decision on price only. But to say price shouldn't be a factor is just dumb.

If you want proof that using illegal drugs and failing drug tests at employers can cost you your job, there are MANY examples. That cannot be argued. The license debate is just stupid. Again, the point is it is risking your job and livelihood for many people. Certainly not all - congrats, that is true - but many. Some idiots just don't smoke weed...

I have no idea what professional licenses can or can't be revoked for marijuana charges. That really isn't even the point. The point is, in many professions, you are risking your job and livelihood if you partake. That is fact.

I don't think it's snooty. You play what works best for you and the courses you play. Nothing wrong with that. But, good quality 2 piece balls are far from distance "rocks".

I find myself liking quality 2-piece balls best as well. I don't have a problem stopping them on the green and like the feel putting. More durable too.

If 'members' are on viewing, but not 'logged in', don't they appear as a 'guest'? I'd bet there is a lot of that, but I do agree, the numbers are still surprising.

Had a close call very early in my golf career, and never messed with lightning again. As a storm was blowing up on a buddy and I, a bolt of lightning struck a tree just off the fairway we were in, not more than 75 yards away from us. Split the tree (a BIG one) right in two. Which is it? First you say the evidence is sufficient, then you say they didn't do enough. Well, if it was sufficient as you say, then it isn't the DA's fault. And you still didn't aswer my question - Why would they 'throw' the case?

A lot of things are said in court that are determined to not be credible - your word against mine isn't strong evidence, especially with McNamee's spotted past. Btw, athletes get many injections that aren't illegal substances.

What would the motive be for the prosecution/DA to 'throw' the Clemens case or what theory is behind why 'something had to happen there'? I didn't follow the case, but it seemed to me the evidence was pretty circumstantial.

While there is moderate concern about Wade's health and/or deterioration in the coming years, he's just 30 and has 4 years left on the contract. I think he will be fine and remain very productive. He won't be a liability, and with LeBron, they'll be ok... He's no James Harden, but....

Well, LeBron is only going to get better and he does have 6-7 (at least) more great years ahead of him. This Heat team proved how good they are when they really play. If they stay healthy, 3 or 4 more titles will be expected. I could see a lot of other players coming to play with them as well - like all the veterans that went to LA recently. I wouldn't be surprised if Nash ends up with the Heat - how scary would that be!!?? The Thunder are going to get better but so are the Heat.
