  1. My good friend is heading to Pine Valley in a few weeks (for like the 5th time, the bastard)..........one of these days I hope to tag-along.
  2. In today's round hole 1: slice, 20 yds right and 10 yards short of 285 yd green hole 2: 300 yd, slight fade on a 500 yd par 5. Then I pulled a 21d hybrid. Smooth. hole 3: par 3 hole 4: 250 slight fade hole 5: 275 straight. Stuck a wedge within 10 feet and birdied hole 6: par 3 hole 7: 250 slice hole 8: 275 straight, slight draw hole 9: 270 slight fade
  3. I'll only use natural wood tee's, with or without clearcoat, just no colors. When putting, I place the logo and number on the ball so it's face up, torwards the hole. That's about it, besides always hitting a huge push slice after all birdies.......
  4. shot a 41.....
  5. Grip price is pretty negligible. They range from like $4-$7 per, not exactly big money, plus a buck or two for the labor unless you do it yourself. I just regripped all my irons and woods with Winn Extremes (Xi7's, the firm ones). I think it ran me about $60.
  6. I normally hit my drives about 450 yards, give or (mostly) take about 175 yards.
  7. Yo! Yo! Yo?
  8. Really? I love the TW series.......
  9. A little off subject, but speaking of Tiger Woods 08, I want to pick this up when I get the new game. Right now, it's available for PC and PS, but it's being created for Xbox as we speak. http://www.golfsmith.com/products/243646
  10. I've shot a couple of 38's for nine holes. 81 for 18. I'm dying to break 80......
  11. www.myscorecard.com
  12. I only played nine on Monday, and shot a 40.
  13. Go play the Bandon Dunes courses and tell me you hate links style golf........and btw Kurtwainwright, I'm extremely jealous.
  14. Monday, on a 385 yd par 4, I holed it with my pw from about a 100 yds for eagle........
  15. Your swing speed could be up because you learned to release the club through the ball....
  16. I think it's already killer.......I just hate to pay the money for a first gen device which is obviously not quite ready (old network).
  17. As a designer, I'm an Apple guy through and through. They set the standard of industrial design, constantly realing out beautiful products.....but I haven't bought one yet. I'm waiting another generation or two, until it's off the old network and some of the features have been expanded. I'm just not a first G guy.......but everything about them is quite beautiful.
  18. On friday, I got paired up (front 9 only) with a couple people who were rolling blunts on the course. 4 to be exact, meaning it was a pretty loose round, alot of joking and smack talk. I shot a 41....... ......so I make the turn and feel decent about where the round is heading. The twosome I played with takes off, and I get paired up with one of the club pros and an 18 y.o. kid with a 3 handi. I tee off first and f'ing duff one about 75 yards. Great.......but I chalk it up to a lunch ball. Get up to it and take out a 5 wood to make up some ground (it's a par5). Hit it great, but it hits the tree ahead and slightly right and ricochets back about 75 feet towards the tee box. Wonderful. Now I'm walking back shaking my head, more than a little embarassed. I take my 5 wood and hit another crappy shot, WTF? Now I'm getting pissed, trying to figure out what happened. I calm myself down and hit a screamer, about 240, just ripped, but a little too far and it ends up behind a tree......I try and go over it and clipped a branch and knocks straight down. Literally everything that could have gone wrong, did. I carded a 9.
  19. Well, I've been working on steeping my approach to the ball, short wedge shots have been pretty flat in the past. What I'm saying is, hitting the 56 with a flat swing produces high, short shot, similar to what I'd get with a 60 wedge. I really don't hit the 56 full swing, it's basically my sand and high rough (around the greens) club. The 54 is my go to wedge, I hit full swing in the 80-85 yard area, but I prefer to only use it 75 in, so I can give it a nice smooth hack. I use my pw for anything 75 out to 110. Basically a three quarter to a full swing.
  20. Go Beavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Well, it's cliche, but golf is truly you against the course......unless you play combat golf (scary stuff, I don't recommend it). Even when you're playing in a group, it's always how you did versus the course compared to how your buddies did versus the course.
  22. I've use to use a 60 here and there, but it was way too inconsistent. Now, I only carry a 54 and 56. I use the 54 anywhere from 75 yds - 10 yds depending on the lie. If I'm short sided, it usually means I'm in the rough, so I can open up the 56 and flop it if I need to. I might get a 60 degree Vokey some day, but I'm just way to inconsistent with that club....
  23. The Old Dirty Bastard
  24. Fairway every time, closely followed by first cut. Some courses have light rough, but if it's heavy, I want no part of it.....
