  1. -wrist cock is at the top of the backswing. -stick with 80% swing power, sacrifice some power for accuracy... (lower your power but don't lay off the follow through)
  2. shot a 86 at shadow course @ Lost Canyon in Simi Valley. wasted a couple shots but happy with my score on this difficult course that i've only played twice.
  3. and that gets you away with chores? when i was your age and i try to say that.... they would take my clubs til i did them... do i sense someone being spoiled....
  4. golf is like crack.... not every likes it... but a high percentage of those into it, is addicted to it.....
  5. i would either lose the 5hybrid or the AW for a 3 wood. the lob wedge in my opinion is more important than the AW. the AW is between the PW and SW, just use your PW with a 70% swing and you get the distance for your AW. i wouldn't even bother with taking out your high irons. they may come in handy for longer par 3s.
  6. hole in one is a hole in one. but if it were a competitive match, your only allowed one ball to play ... odviously...
  7. don't worry... no need... its already over.. lakers over the celtics in 6....
  8. as long as you keep playing.... then they were good purchases....
  9. people who live by golf courses should buy windows suitable for the conditions. why buy some cheap window that you know will break when you can buy windows that won't break. http://www.cambridgedoors.com/windows_golfball.asp
  10. pre-shot routine makes a big difference. remember to always go through it.
  11. for me i just flip my wrists over but keeping the target-side wrist flat at impact. if i were to put a wrist watch on my target side wrist, at address it would be pointing at the target. at impact the watch face should be facing the target but also it is turning over to face the ball. if i were to put a wrist watch on my opposite wrist (wrist away from the target side), facing away from the target. at impact it is turning over to face sky . i read in tiger wood's book. its like shaking hands with your target. so when you flip your wrist over during impact, during the follow-through your right wrist is crossed over your left wrist. if you freeze frame half way up your folow-through. your right hand looks and feels like its shanking hands. i don't fully agree with both these comments. -i don't think its the hips that should move first, i think its the weight moving to the target side foot is the first move. i've see a lot of people who try to use the hips first and i've see a lot of unbalanced swinging from it. - the waggle doesn't have to hit your right hip.... i have no idea where you got that thought. the waggle is to loosen up before you swing. it doesn't have to hit your right hip. that might be your waggle but i believe its different for each person.
  12. after reading a lot of the posts. putting backspin is a lifesaver sometimes. especially if you encounter a pin tucked closely behind a bunker. you don't need to have this shot but it will come in handy once in a while. unless you play courses with easy pin locations.
  13. yea man... its not photoshop.... its mspaint.... haha j/k
  14. Lakers in 6. Kobe gonna be playoff MVP. Eat it haters... Kobe and Pierce are good friends. they said at the beginning of the season they bet each other who would get traded first. and now they are gonna be at the finals. oh how things have changed for the best.

  17. you should request a section for different areas. ( ex: west, east, north, south, mid) so that people can post in their area and possibly set up group meet.
  18. 1. Tiger Woods 2. Phil Mickelson 3. Sergio Garcia 4. KJ Choi 5. Anthony Kim gotta support my fellow koreans. anthony kim went to school with a couple of my friends. always nice to see: fred couples ernie els vj mike weir
  19. i have a hat from the tw collection. main reason for buying: dri-fit hat.. awesome...
  20. as much as if feels wierd, posture is very important. when i play it feels like i'm sticking out my rear end but that helps me to keep my back straight and bend at the waist. almost like sitting on the edge of a tall chair. http://www.v1golfacademy.com/ they have free software to check out. you can see your swing plane when you use their tools. its pretty cool.
  21. i mean as long as it isn't too loud then it should be ok. i know once football season starts.... the radio is comin out on sundays... or if get an iphone by then...
  22. i've been marking my ball recently and it has been working out really well for me. but the other day i couldn't seem to get the ball lined up, cause the ball would keep rolling when i had it correct. sometimes getting it lined up in itself was really frustrating. i gave up using the line for the rest of the day . i started sinking my putts after i switched to standing behind the ball and lining up without the line. i believe this worked out better cause i felt more confident with that approach than using the line. so in my opinion, don't rely too much on the line on the ball. if you feel more confident without it, then go for it. i'm happy now that i rarely 3 putt. one or none every round.
  23. i think the lakers/celtics is a bigger rivalary than lakers/pistons.... i think the pistons biggest rivalry was against the bulls... if my memory serves correct...
  24. a lot of ranges out here in Los Angeles use those cheap fake grass mats as well. ranges are like a double edge sword. it can help you fix your swing and even give more confidence. but there is always the chance that you have a bad session and ruin it all in one swoop. range session is all about quality not quantity.
  25. Too much, just enough, too little?
