  4. my best is 82 on a par 72, pars and bogeys.
  5. my name is brandon aswell, and I have been to texas before! though I do live in canada
  6. One tip that a guy was floating around on "personal lessons" on the golf channel is to have an internal clock for timing your swing. Do any of you guys count to a number so that proper lag is achieved? When I tried it today, I was thinking too much and couldn't make consitant contact. An example of this is counting to 2 when you get to the top of your backswing, and then to 3 when you hit the ball.
  7. my membership costs me $700 a year, and I get 14 courses to choose from. I am a junior though
  8. 17 years of age, been playing for 3 years.
  9. all i know is that the password is all lowercase; there is no capital I
  10. One bag is the normal thing to do, just decide if you want a carry bag or a cart bag then go nuts.
  11. I agree, Nick Faldo is a great one.
  12. yeah, he hasn't been able to close anything out this year.
  13. When I have problems driving, I study these pictures and try to replicate what mikey is doing. The straight front arm is key, as well as the shoulder-turn and the set-up at address. Notice how the club is almost at 90° from his arms at the top of the back swing?
  14. yeah, I wear my golf clothes everywhere I go now, its much like my school uniform so I'm comfortable wearing collared shirts all the time. You don't see many people wearing golf hats around town but when I do see someone wearing one, i have a sense that they are a little more intelligent than the average person around here.
  15. I do some "drills" at the range with my driver, but its more or less just placing irons on the turf to judge alignment and correct over the top swings.
  16. i demoed them and didn't like them at all. They had too much height for irons, i was losing distance.
  17. that looks like a very nice course 23 rounder
  18. i agree. With ball striking, everybody can notice a difference between a distance ball and and a spin ball. Whatever cheap ball they play, play the same ball constant so you have a constant variable and you also can get used to putting speeds.
  19. Ernie Els. Tiger handicapped himself by skipping the first event.
  20. Any of you ever play at courses that always have uneven fairway lies? Im talking about downhill, uphill, side=hill and massive elevated doglegs. I play a local course every so often and I hate it. Members say that they will be better because of the practice they get on uneven lies. I am starting to hate it because I hit 12/14 fairways and only had 1 of those as a even ground lie. Like Hitting a 4 iron off of a downhill slope of 2 stories. It makes my ball striking inconsistent and frankly the ball flight is ugly most of the time. Anybody ever play these types of courses and whats your view on them.
  21. i actually have practiced everyday this summer. I only play 3 rounds a week. I can really work at something specific at the range, too bad the driver didn't work today....
  22. lol sorry I didnt read any of the posts, I thought I came up with it myself
  23. Heat
