  1. My first post in...almost 6 months! No, i went the 5.56 route in both of my AR15's so i could shoot either 5.56 or .223 ammo. Current list of firearms- Bushmaster Ar Armalite AR Polytech M14 Remington 870 Colt MK70 Wasr 10 AK 47 Really wanting to get a Sage Stock for my M14, maybe a FS200, or a USP if i was old enough :/
  2. Farewell TST! it has been fun! see you all in December! Semper Fi and hit em straight!
  3. Why not.. I am 18 years old, playing golf for around 5 years now, the lowest handicap i have ever reached is a two, but due to lack of practice and drive, i am something like a 7 now. I played lacrosse, as an attackman, or my senior year as a goalie at the varsity level. (you think golf is hard? try having a one pound ball thrown at you at 80 MPH from 20 feet away.) I graduated high school with a whopping 1.8 cumulitive GPA(I had a 28 as my overall ACT score) I ended alot of my friendships with highschool, but found a group of guys that i really like and we hang out a good deal. My father and i have some issues, i dont think i have ever had a serious conversation with him. I love shooting, i own a few AR15's and am teaching my friends how to shoot and am mentoring them in purchasing their own. I dated a lovely girl from my freshman to senior year. She was the best bad thing that i ever experienced. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corp last Thanksgiving, and am shipping out to bootcamp in twelve days. I am a ps3 guy. I like beans in my chili. I see religion as a crutch Im not a huge believer in government i will never get married. Glock .40's will explode. (this is a little hello to any fellow ARFcommers on here!) -Bakke
  4. i use a fiarly large grip on my putters... teh equivalent of an "oversize" grip on an iron..none of the superstroke crap... i always thought the slightly larger grip feelds better. Dont ditch the futura yet.. they are great putters, once i went left hand low with mine i was lights out for a while. Just experiment with it. And if your only going to make 70 or so bucks off selling it, hang on to it, it never hurts to have another scotty in the closet when your gamer acts up!
  5. solid round! you have accomplished somethings millions never will! Great feeling
  6. i had a futura, (the silver one wiht the red lines on it and the semi circle on the back) and putted lights out for a solid 4 months with it. then one day i picked up a normal putter and realized, "Wow, this thing is ugly." i proceeded to shoot a 43 that day and bought a circa 62 #1 the next day.
  7. as of about a week ago i had 475 various "pro" balls. pro v1, b330, tp black, etc etc that i had accumulated over the years. i then shipped them all to canada for a tidy bit of cash :)
  8. we are gonna need alot more info such as- What do you like your ball flight to be like? are you spinning the ball too much? too little? Do you like to fade or draw the ball? details man! if your just going the cheap route, i loved my V2 for distance, that sucker was long...but i never could get accurate with it, just didnt like the feel of it in the lighter weights.
  9. as of late my favorite has been the 135 yard with my vokey 50. that club set up three birdies at Sanctuary yesterday! Man what a course...
  10. thats the grey one correct? if so i liked that shaft alot.. whiteboard flight without the whiteboard feel!
  11. you can tell your self by doing this -go with what feels right. some people like incredibly stiff shafts in their 3 woods, and like that feel, but may prefer a stiff or regular flex in driver. if it feels good you have a better chance of hitting it well. if your hooking the ball and it doesnt seem to be a swing issue, get stiffer shafts -if you slice it, get a weaker shaft! Of course being fit works well, but this is the easy way to do it with little money spent!
  12. i have a mp32 two iron with an slx100 in it, inch over standard if your intrested...
  13. 100% of the time i have my gerber boot knife on me, and if they pull it while i am putting the clubs in the trunk...well...
  14. way to celebrate the 4th! the tour burner is an excellent club, very long off the tee, you will be pleased with it! as for it being closed, it is, so you should be drawing it, which lets not lie, everyone likes to do! and for that extra degree of loft, your fine, i highly doubt it will effect anything in anyones swing that isnt a pro... enjoy!
  15. k..going from a 67 to a 95 is pretty drastic. you could always just, ya know, put a better shaft in it, instead of spending money on one that obviously isnt working but will be heavier. Yea. If its heavier, i am not really sure thats gonna help you get any more roll.. perhaps if you got a shaft that spun a bit less... Why yes! that would work just swell!
  16. i doubt that would help. increasing weight would adjust your tempo. if the ball is literally hopping up and back than you need to get a shaft that spins less. whats your launch angle with the driver? just off the top of my head, JB has a launch angle around 16 degrees (if i remember from a playing lessons with the pros i watched)
  17. First, i dig teh 4 wood thing, that was hilarious! heres what your gonna do. if you like to work the ball, your going to find the tour version of whatever brand you decide on. AKA your going to get a head that is a degree open. If you like to fade the ball easily, get one that is super open, if you like to draw easily, get a closed face etc etc. Next your going to find the head that looks best to you. Dont worry about any of the technical crap, cuz lets be completely honest, if your getting a "Tour" head, they are all getting at the same goal.. so get one that sets up well for you. Now comes the tricky part. you need to find a sahft. you say your hitting the ball too high.. are you hitting it high? or is it spinning up into the air. If its just plain high WhiteBoard F6M2 Rombax Z If your spining the ball way to high- PM702 Project X Now, all these shafts feel different, flight different, etc etc. so just because say, the project X goes farther than the whiteboard, get the one that feels better.. your gonna hit a club your confident in alot better than one you dont like. For what its worth, i have a code 6Matrix which is a mid launch, mid spin shaft, X flex, (Doesnt play super stiff) in candy green..its a fantastic shaft, and if your intrested im sure we could work out a deal for it.. Brian
  18. my top five as of right now- 1) Stan-Eminem 2)Let it be- The Beatles 3) The fight club soundtrack. 4)not afraid-Eminem 5)zephyr song-red hot chili peppers.
  19. Everyone seems to stop at size 12..im currently at 13.5 in my golf shoes... absolute hell finding them in stores! bought a pair of boots a week ago, had to have them custom ordered to fit my big feet..
  20. i play the tp red ldp a good deal.. i would say it is similar to the prov1x, personally i feel i hit it a bit further than the v1x, but also get a bit more spin around the green with it. I am yet to play the Penta, i wold imagine if it spun a good deal, the tp black ldp would be the ball you want.
  21. six foot three, 169 pounds as of right now.
  22. my personal experience with ping driver heads is that the vast majority of heads play with higher loft than that on the sole. so a 9 may be a10.5, or a 7.5 may be more like 9... so i wouldnt be too worried..if you get it and cant play it, shoot me a pm... Besides, 7.5 is pretty bad ass ;)
  23. So i got a set of MP-32's a while back, (i have had a few sets of these, and love em) and i cant get comfortable with the Pitching wedge.. i find myself at 145 and smashing a gap wedge or babying a 9 because i just cant get comfortable with it. I have pounded balls with it, and jsut cant figure it out. Im sure by now its so far in my head that i cant hit it well that i never will... anyone else have a club like this?
  24. my coach always wanted me to play a set of them, but i agree, i thought they felt hollow, hard, however you want to desribe it, but just downright didnt like em at all. Best of luck to you with em, i guess that just shows how different people have different feel!
  25. 9 iron from 157 to about 3 feet. then later, a hybrid from 235 to about 10 on a par 5, then my partner drained the eagle!
