  1. A guy I play with acutally uses a 26" junior putter. He's 5'10 and about 320 lbs. It's a halarious sight but when he lags it to 2 inches, everyone shuts up.
  2. You have one of two options: Regrip with midsize grips with one wrap, regularly. Regrip with standard grips with two wraps.
  3. Exactly, my point. By the time you pick up your normal driver, you'll overcompensate for the lack of weight and WILL come over the top.
  4. Class, Class, Class!
  5. Yes & No. The power hitter mostly is used to sync everything in the swing together to generate a 'lag' in the backswing. It really doesn't help your accuracy. In fact, many people I see actually come WAAAY over the top with it just because of the weight of the club. If you don't have a second person watching your swing, you're kinda screwed.
  6. Titleist NXT Tour TopFlite D2 Feel Maxfli Fire Tour
  7. The FTi won't be any better, noisewise.
  8. #2 will take me 220-240 #4 will take me 200-220 My #2 is similar to a driving iron; very low trajectory and when hit flush, will scream though anything. My #4 is awesome out of fairway bunkers, rough, and is my all around long-length go-to club. Chipping? Nah.
  9. Why drop your Hybrid for a 3 Wood? According to your bag, you only have 12 clubs anyway...
  10. Indeed
  11. I love my Mini-C. Great putter at a great price.
  12. Srixon/Cleveland... What's the difference now?
  13. I find it nearly impossible to tackle modern courses with old equipment.
  14. Golfsmith has drivers, wedges, balls, gloves, etc. I haven't seen a lot of Titleist irons, though, now that you mention it...

    Jim Furyk tips

Golf Magizine. It's put out by Sports Illustrated. Good article but I couldn't share his passion for the 60* wedge.
  16. One of the main selling ponits of the RTG & Oil Can wedges is that they indeed increase spin on the ball to a 'spin-milled' type effect. If Cleveland couldn't produce any emperical evidence upon their claims, they'd be hit with a false advertisement quicker than I can 3 putt. When my wedges rust up, they don't become "powdery," they acutally get abrasive to the touch.
  17. No, the aforementioned article appeared to be nothing but an editorial.
  18. My nickname used to be 'double-black.' I always used to wear rain gloves, even in the summertime. Something just felt right about it. Then I realized that I looked like a douchebag.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WlxR3NWJCo This one's good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGE0LsJupdc The hardest part is lining up the logo perfectly to the lie of the club. It's definatley mandatory if you have a little 'memory rod' in the grip, too.
  20. Last Sunday, I was fortunate enough to be by myself, with a cart, behind no one. I managed to finish 18 holes in 1 hour and 49 minutes. I also managed to loose a sleeve of balls in the great autumn conditions, as well.
  21. I ditched the 3 iron in lieu of another wedge.
  22. Maxfli Fire Tour. IMO, that and the ONE feel nearly exact to me.
  23. I think the ban is uncalled for. There's more technology in 90% of most gloves nowadays than just some extra padding. "Gee, a material that takes moisture away from your hands? That's SATANIC!!! BAAANNN!!!"
  24. The putter is the most used club in your entire bag thoughout a round. Don't skimp out. Take WEEKS to find your perfect one. Don't be high-pressured into completing a sale.
  25. It's kinda aggrivating taking lessons in the winter because in a dome situation, you barely see any results within shot shaping. Sure, you can work on your setup and chipping off a mat but it's a whole different animal when you're in some Bermuda.
