  1. 1) No, I just asked for thoughts. I wouldn't ask for medical advice from someone who isn't a medical professional. 2) Because of this. 3) Then by all means, ask questions if you feel you need more information to provide "other thoughts". 4) Not "take time off" when I specifically mentioned that wasn't happening. Sorry, but your reading comprehension needs work. Interesting. I hadn't considered that it might be a problem elsewhere. Thanks, I'll look into it.
  2. I asked for other thoughts, not thoughts on taking the time off. As I said, I don't have that luxury.
  3. Why do I even bother...
  4. After lifting "heavy" (for me) on bicep day (and I've shut down the golf for the year after a whopping 4 rounds, so I can tolerate some soreness...time to hit it hard), I get really intense pain at the bottom of my bicep on the inside of my elbow any time I try to extend my arm. If I keep it bent at 90º, it's fine, but the minute I pass about 120º it hurts like nobody's business. It last about 3-4 days then it's fine again until the next time I lift "heavy" (again, for me...). 1) It's not DOMS, I've experienced both and this one is different. 2) I don't really have the luxury of taking a bunch of time off from the gym. I get the chance to go when I get the chance to go, so I need to capitalize on it. 3) Other thoughts?
  5. I'd golf my conscience and play 36. Then buy as much Trump SWAG as I could find in the pro shop.
  6. Makes Shit Good mmmmmmm
  7. 2001 Masters - Tee shot - 72nd hole. I'll never forget how far up he hit it, nor how confident he looked when they zoomed in on his face. Nor the little flip of a wedge he was left with. Close 2nd- 2000 US Open - 2nd shot - #6 (I think it was Friday). That may have been when Maltbie said "it's just not a fair fight". He was right. Those would answer the "favorite" question. If the question is about most memorable, then the chip on 16 at the masters. I was in Myrtle Beach with my first wife and uncle. He and I had played earlier that day and had 2-3 more days left on the trip to play. It was one of the last rounds I ever played with him. But we were in their room, watching out on the balcony overlooking the Atlantic. When the ball toppled in, all 4 of us got airborne. Even my first wife, who wasn't a golf fan to say the least.
  8. Trying to spice up practice to keep my attention a bit. When I say "short game" I'm referring to the shots on and around the putting green. "Distance wedges", for me, is pretty vanilla practice and I accept that. I'm wondering what are some of your favorite pitching, chipping, and putting games/drills. The only one I really do is what I call "up & down". I start with 5 balls and pick a hole. Then I chip and/or pitch to it. If I don't think I can make every putt, I pick a new spot, a new hole, and chip and/or pitch to that. When I think I can make all 5 putts (or 5 minus however many I chipped in), I putt. If I make them, I'm "done". If I miss one, I add that ball, and start again with chipping and/or pitching (now with 6 balls). Rinse, repeat, until I've gotten up and down with every ball. The problem is, that can be a very quick game...or it can take forever if I'm not feeling super confident in my putting. I'm sure there's something better. What do you guys do?
  9. TM R11 driver with some Miyazaki tour issue exotic shaft. I keep trying to kick it out of the bag but can't. 716 T-MB (2-4) and MB (5-P) irons. Just got them and they're just phenomenal. The AMT shaft (also tour issue) is fantastic.
  10. You guys should embrace early extension. It makes golf fun! Pull hook, solid shot that goes a mile, shank, rinse, repeat! Guessing is half the fun...and your short game gets a nice workout, too!
  11. The more people point out Poulter's social media posts the more Ted Bishop's comments seem to be valid.
  12. Skintastically profitable.
  13. I built a studio in my 2-car garage. GC2, simulator, workshop, synlawn green...should keep me busy.
  14. I had a feeling that was the case. Honestly, it takes almost no time to figure out my read using the charts, but I was thinking Express may be even more convenient. Need to get some more instruction on it to make sure I'm not picking up bad habits, and also to increase knowledge. I yearn to learn.
  15. I remember when I was about 9 and someone tried explaining it to me. Even then, I remember thinking, "this is some crazy witchcraft he's selling me, here." Do you do "Express" lessons or just the regular AimPoint? I'm getting much more comfortable with the basics and think it might be time to learn some more.
  16. Headed to Nassau for 4 nights for work and wondering if it's worth it to pay the $180+++ to play. I'll have my clubs because the first part of the trip is to Sarasota and I intend to play there. I'm not usually one to spend that kind of money on a round of golf, but if it's worth it I'll give it a shot. Otherwise, I'll go from restaurant to restaurant and bar to bar when I'm done at the gym in the morning. Staying at the Melia, if that helps. Thanks!
  17. Feinstein doesn't look like he's ever missed a meal in the media center.
  18. Agree with this. Amazing how quickly you can get "good" at it. Or at least "acceptable".
  19. Unfortunately, such store doesn't really exist within an hour drive. I did check with the local keepers, but they either just have the hives for their own use, or sell commercially. If I'm going to buy processed, commercial honey, I might as well just run to Sparkle. Going to check some online vendors but I thought maybe someone would have a recommendation where to look for the best price/taste. And thanks. Been a long road, and I've still got quite a bit more to lose, but we're hitting it hard!
  20. There's not a whole lot of objectivity going on in this thread.
  21. Play. Seriously, it's been far too long. I'll worry about the rest as I get to actually play.
  22. Any suggestions on where to find raw honey and how to use it as a sugar replacement in basic cooking/recipes? I've lost >40 pounds since August 24th, and I'd like to lose another 50-80, but the same old grilled chicken breast or eggs and bacon is getting boring. I like some variety in my diet. Right now, I'm not so much into the "grass fed" yadda yadda, but I am keeping a close eye on calories. Oddly enough, at my heaviest, my blood work was great! Doctor kept saying, "you're very healthy!" I just didn't like the way I looked, performed athletically (I think it's why I took basically 4 years away from golf), and felt physically...not to mention the number on the scale. Yeah, exercise has been a big part of the reduction (we ride our bikes 20-60 miles 3-6 times per week, or run 2.5-6 miles, then there's lifting, etc.) but I've learned I can't outrun my diet. Counting the calories has been a major part of it when I got sick and wasn't able to exercise, and when the weather prohibited a good solid run/ride. I guess what I'm saying is...any suggestions are appreciated, but especially on the raw honey. Always looking for a sugar replacement. I've got quite the sweet tooth.
  23. I'm surprised he didn't say "thumbs under the shaft" 93 times in that video. He must have been off his meds that day.
  24. So.... He just got a whole week of open tee times to sell at (insert ridiculous price) per person, times four, times however many groups can play on a typical day in July, plus caddie, plus merchandise and other sales not related to playing the course (food and beverage come to mind).... He's not hurting.
