I remember during the Tavistock cup this year, the announcer said Tiger's course handicap was a +16. How is that even possible lol

New igolf Neo ....looks pretty cool!

Yes, the 4 custom points are in addition to F, C, B I've had mine for 3 months, and I use it every week. I've only had to charge it once so far. If the battery starts to lose life in about a year, I don't see it needing a charge in the middle of a round. By the time the battery becomes a problem, I would have gotten my money's worth x2. I usually clip mine on my right side (backswing side) and I've never had a problem with obstruction. Barely even notice it's there. -
Can't offer any opinions on those since I've never been. But I hear a lot of great things about Desert Pines from my golf buddies. If you don't mind spending a little more dough, Lake Las Vegas has beautiful golf courses. But they are very pricey lol

Great choice on driver. I've been hitting mine for about 3 months now and I love it! It is a very forgiving club for all levels of golfers. -
I should have clarified my statement a little more. What I meant was outside of school endorsed/owned equipment, you can't get anything for free :)

I wish I could get off work, but I don't see that happening since I'm off Monday. If that changes, I'll definately shoot you a PM and we can definately set something up. Tough choice between the two. I've only been to LV National once and it's more of a tourist stop so the condition of the course depends on the amount of out of town traffic that week. The prices are great though. Legacy however is always in immaculate condition. And I play there every week. Might be a little more expensive than LVN, but I think it's worth it. It's in Henderson/Green Valley, about 15-20 minutes from the strip. http://www.thelegacygc.com

Oh ya, there's that also lol

Good luck on the Mini-Tour Ben! Hope to see you on the nationwide/pga tour soon. Underparnv - If you have the funds, I say go for it and see how far you get. What's the worst that could happen? :)

My middle name is "Birdie to Bogey". I hit the GIR, then 3+ putt my way to shame.

You can't get free stuff while you are on a collegiate team. It's against NCAA rules. It prevents rich alum/boosters from swaying a potential recruit from joining the college. The NCAA is VERY strict on what you can and can't recieve. Good example is Reggie Bush. He's in hot water for all the "free" stuff he got while at USC.

Time off is always a key for me. It erases a lot of bad thoughts and maybe bad habits. Take a couple weeks off from the range and maybe just work on putting for two weeks.

I live here in Vegas, but unfortunately I work on Friday. Not sure if you would want a hacker like me slowing you down anyway lol Las Vegas National is a great course though. I also suggest Legacy Golf Club. It's the course used in the local Open Qualifier here. Beautiful links style course that stretches to over 7200yds from the tips.

That sounds really fun. I think it's interesting how prepared or seemingly unprepared pros can be. Everyone has their own routine and it sounds like the older guys just want to get the round over with lol

Not overly excited about this card outside of Arlovski vs Barnett. Maybe even Lindland vs Belfort (Vitor has been one of my favs since early UFC). I really don't want to see Tito fight again. He's over the hill and brings nothing to the table except some good prefight hype.

His only real tests in Pride were Nog and Mirko. The rest where freakshow fights. Hong Man Choi, Middleweights, Japanese Cans , Over the hill wrestlers and ZULU! Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE Fedor fan and have watched every fight he had in Pride, but the compeition there was overhyped for lack of a better word. I'm sure you've heard the numerous accusations about fixed fights and steroid abuse in Japan. They are a pro wrestling obsessed country who cares more about the "show" than the athletic competition itself. If he would have fought Barnett and dominated him the way others have, my opinion would probably be different. Because I think Barnett is a top 3 HW in the world.

Hole #9 at the local muni I play sometimes. It's considered one of the hardest holes in all of vegas. Par 4 398 yards Slight dogleg right with water all along the right side stretching to just short of the green. The left side is pretty safe, but gives you a bad angle at the tiny green with water behind, left and front (on a false front green). The only safe approach shot is to stick it on the center of the green. Anywhere else you are wet or OB. The hardest part of this hole has to be the size of the green. Needless to say, I've only par'd this hole twice. One off a lucky bounce with the rocks in front of the green that managed to pop my ball up to 10ft from the hole.

Interesting....However, it sounds more like a weight loss drug than performance enhancement. I honestly believe Golf is one of the few sports where steroids or PED's won't have a huge impact. Hitting it further doesn't mean you will score.

I take my glove off. Few reasons... 1) It feels better in my hand 2) I like to let my fingers breathe

Like others have said, a crisp downward blow will create backspin and depending on your ball will either bounce and stop or roll back. Why would you want to spin a 64 though? I only use my 60 when I have very little green to work with or I'm inside 50yds. And with that much loft, it balloons and pretty much stops on a dime.

It was 107 with 10-20mph winds on Saturday when I played. Wasn't too bad actually, you get used to the blowdryer effect lol
-
Do you smoke? I'm a smoker in relatively good shape and even I get worn out on the back 9 if I have a smoke during the round. So when possible, I keep my smoking to the last 2-4 holes. Heat also plays a factor. If it's cold weather, I could go on for the full day. But anything above 95 and it starts to take a toll on me.

Great pictures Yohsi! I love links courses. Sloping fairways is a thing of beauty! And that chick is not bad either...

That's exactly my gripe with his comments. He plays golf for a living and it's a pretty good living at that. No one likes complainers to begin with, but gripe about someting meaningful. Horrible playing conditions, preferential treatment to stars, unfair rules etc... (just hypothetical examples btw). Don't gripe about a few elaborate dinners that honor these golfers and the countries they represent. And to use the word "slaves" is poor judgement at best. I've never seen a slave drive luxury sport cars or own mansions.

Dinners???? Huge massive ones? Oh the horror! Give me a break

Well you also have to take into account that not all players get to tee off during prime-time coverage. I would be very surprised that they don't show Rocco though. He's a ratings booster ever since the US Open. TGC usually does a good job of mixing up who they cover.
