  1. Thanks mates. Another question, is there really a big difference between what they call "super improvement irons” and just “improvement irons”? (Let’s say, between Mizuno’s MX-25 and Mizuno’s Mx-950). Or for example in clubs like PING’s, what’s the significant difference between G10s and i10s or TItleist AP1 to AP2? Yes, one is supposed to "forgive" more but is there a real difference? Cheers...
  2. I was just wondering, when should you get blades instead of cavity-backs? I’ve been “blading” (replacing with blades) my irons in the past few years (blades from the PW to the 8-Iron, cavity backs irons 4-7). I’ve been thinking I should buy a set of blades since I feel quite comfortable with them, but I don’t know if that is asking too much. I’m quite straight with my irons, getting good distance, etc. As any player around the 14 handicap, I obviously need some kind of forgiveness, but I admit I’m not too desperate on improving my game in x-strokes in the next years or so, so I wouldn’t mind waisting a shot or two. Any feed back? What would you think? Thanks mates Cheers…
  3. We had this Spicy onions and BBQ Whopper in Burger King in Australia which I loved...
  4. I would rather have a 60 Wedge. A SW can easily go 100 yards and compensate for the Gap wedge, but FOR ME, its a little bit difficult to get less yardage... Go for a Lob, it always works Cheers,

    Euro 2008

I cheers for Spain (my father's home country), which is going to be a new disappointment as EVERY year. I'm expecting to see some nice playing this year, I think Czech Republic might give a nice surprise (or I hope it does).
  6. I find it a little bit expensive for a starting set, but if you've got the money and like them go for it. In my opinion, you should look for something a little bit more for "your game", maybe Nike Ignites or maybe some Adam's complete sets which are quite nice.... You haven't even developed a consistent swing to get fitted I guess, but still if you are planning to spend SO MUCH in equipment to start off, you better get yourself fitted anyway. I don't know if you are sure even what your swing speed is, or know if a regular, stiff or x-stiff shaft is correct for you... Cheers
  7. I bought some Intech Beta Ti about a year ago and they worked fine. For a golfer who just started playing there won't be the slightest difference with much mor expensive balls. They are very very cheap, you get your 3 dozen under $20 (which is almost your $15 for 3-dozen budget lol). Its a great ball since you can loose a lot fo them and never feel guilty for doing so. Here is the link at Amazon in case you're interested http://www.amazon.com/Intech-Beta-Go...2436162&sr;=8-1 Cheers
  8. PING: 1. Wedges: Not the best but TOUR-W work quite well for the average golfer 2. Putters: I've always been in love with PING Putters 3. Irons: I love G5s. Never played G10s but I've heard wonderful reviews 4. Drivers/Woods: Again here G5s were wonderful and the G10 woods are marvelous (Haven't played the g10 driver, but again, people speak wonders about it). As well I love the "name", it sounds quite funny. I love caps and bags. I actually enjoy the look of most PING clubs and apparel. The only downside would be BALLS, unfortunately, which would ahve the need of another company name... Cheers...
  9. Well, the range is 15 minutes from work, the Golf Course about 30 minutes. I need 2 hours to play at least 9 holes, and take about 50 minutes in the range. I pay $4 a bucket so its way cheaper. Off course I'll prefer to play, but with time and money involved sometimes the range is your only option.
  10. I bought a pair of Responses and I'm more than happy with them, specially because your feet NEVER get hot which is the best thing I can expect from a pair of golf shoes....
  11. I would rather have a Pistons San Antonio final, but I guess it's more probable to have my Bears back in the superbowl than that...
  12. I have had a pretty good experience with Nike's Power Distance, and for $12 a dozen is quite a good deal....
  13. I think sleeve-less are terrible for any sport which is not Rock Climbing or Beach Volleyball, but I'm not too picky about what people wear. This might sound terrible, but unfortunately it’s true. I've seen VERY ugly guys in their slacks and collar shirts who think they just look perfect for the game. I'm sure I look better in a pink g-string thong and an orange tie than they do dressed like that. I guess that's one of those snobbish old-school golf things I have never been able to understand. I still don’t know why someone should be called a gentleman for using slacks and a vagrant for using shorts. Am I a gentleman if my shorts are Armani? Are K-Mart slacks worth to be called a gentleman as well? Would it be ok to go in a Tuxedo? At the end it's not a matter of what you use but how you look. I've seen Tiger in a non-collar shirt a couple of times looking great. I’ve seen a lot “properly dresses” looking horrendous. I think it’s a matter of what you feel confortable with. Yes, of course, there are some basic rules (please leave the pink g-string thong out lol), but shouldn’t go over the boundaries. No sleeve-less as I mentioned, maybe no trainers, but a nice collar less t-shirt can do the trick perfectly well. You can go to the Cannes Festival with a Tee and a jacket so I guess it won’t be much a problem for my $50 buck golf course, won’t you agree? Cheers…
  14. Definetely Judo, huge opportunity in soccer, and great chance in chess lol
  15. Thnak you guys for the advice. I wasn't expecting to get so much imput!!! I'll try all the stuff you wrote, and then I'll tell you what might have worked for her, just for statistical purposes lol. Thanks again mates, Cheers...
  16. Hello! I wanted to ask you guys a question. My fiancee has been playing golf for about 6-8 months now. I have to say she is extremely accurate, and rarely hits a slice (which I admit I'm very jealous about), but she has A LOT of problems with her distance issue. She does great with short irons, but with her I5, 3-4 Hybrids, and 3,5-woods it seems she gets the same distance everytime, no matter which one she uses. Driver is about 150yds at most as well. I've always been a long hitter, even when I couldn't get two straight balls in a row, so I really don't know if its just a matter of patience since "distance might develop with time", or if there is ANYTHING you think she might be able to do to improve such feature. Thanks mates..
  17. Golfsmith has it for $150, so you might better get it there. I own one of those. I have to say its a very nice driver to work with, and it does help fix those slices. It looks a little bit awkward at first but its a very aesthetic driver. I think The Sand Trap has a review on it and everything. Cheers...
  18. I have played the same cheap gloves all my life. It seems eveytime I try to change to a newer more sophisticated version I take time to adjust, so I keep buying my old cheap $9 Nike Dura Feel...
  19. You can find a New TM R7 for $150 in golfsmith for example, if you want to extend your budget a little bit...
  20. OK, could you guys stop the non-sense?

    NFL Draft

Have you seen a team suck more than the Bears??? Why didn't they get a QB!!!!Yes, the excuse is talent wasn't the thing this year for such position, but when you have talent like Orton and Grossman home, you definetely know that's not something the Bears care about. Sincerely, I was expecting them to have a 3rd pick in a QB, and I guess things would work much better. Well, I'll have to sit down and watch another disappointing seasson and hope we get one of the first 5 picks next year (Angelo might draft a kicker then, but I hope he's fired before that lol)
  22. I actually use a pink and black lady's flex Adam's Sand Wedge which seems to work for me (and I robbed it from my ex-girlfriend lol).
  23. Adidas Paragon. They are about $30 bucks with is ridiculously cheap, and they work like nothing else I ahve tried...
  24. My fiance had the same problem starting since she is a lefty as well, and there are not many cheap club sets available. She started with some Affinity clubs, I think the set was about $200 and worked pretty well to start with. I'm convinced you don't need anything else to start with. $200 clubs or $1000 clubs don't make a difference when you can't even hit the ball evey time you swing. Afiinity worked great, Wilson has some nice ones as well. If you want to spend some more, Adams sells some great girl club sets for around $800, which she might find suitable. Cheers, Camilo
  25. Why not invest in second hand clubs or something less expensive to start with. For me, spending $800 on G10s is a little bit too much for a game you are just starting at. As someone said before, you might leave it tomorrow...
