I have just put multi compounds on my whole set, after having having golf pride cords on ,the multi feel a little thinner, but ill get used to that,they feel nice and tacky, but i really liked the full cords, the only trouble i have is getting grips with ribs in them,which i much prefer.you have no idea how hard it is to get ribbed grips

my shanks were caused by holding the club face open at impact, as a result of fighting a hook , the pro told me slightly weaken my grip, then just trust yourself to release the clubhead through impact,,,,, voila ,,gone

I shot a 2 over ,74, playing off 12 hcp, about 8 yrs ago, followed by 4 over the following week, a few 77's since but nothing close to that 74,

maybe it's your ball position that is the problem ,if it to far forward you cant hit a decending blow which is why you sweep the ball, try moving the ball back slightly in your stance to encourage a decendingblow on the back of the ball

at our course we donate old balls to the cadet golfers for their group lessons with the trainee pro. why dont you seperate the good from the bad ,and sell them in bundles.
