  1. Yep, you can do this, i etched a line into my driver, as it doesnt have one.
  2. "Anyone who likes the sound of the square nikes is not a golfer" or a chopper My Mizuno sounds good, quite but proffesional sounding, i like the sound of the D2 or 905 also old mizuno MP-001 or whatever it was
  3. My Fave was in a fairway bunker, try to hit the equator of the ball - WELL DON'T COS YOU'll THIN IT INTO THE LIP!!!
  4. i Scored 19, with a little help from the rest of the people at the golf course, (work in pro shop)
  5. One of the golf courses where i live has Segways, Boughton Golf Club. www.pentlandgolf.co.uk They are sooo fun, really quick aswell, me and my friend played 118 holes in 1 45 minutes. However noone else uses them, they have hired them out about 10 times to people other than us who want to dick about.
  6. i agree with you^^^, its only a game to be honest, not worth taking a chunk out of the green. You cannot guarentee not to take a divot, in the end your flop shot would of saved you a maximum of one shot, possibly none. Would you delibrately hit all their range balls into the bund, just so you can practice your "POWER FADE".
  7. you can definatley play "players Irons" i play off 8 with MP-60's, love them!
  8. Isnt this the exact same injury Danny Cipriani has atm, Rugby Fans anyone??
  9. i dont play US open standard golf, but i am playing with a broken/or just busted index finger atm. (Rugby Injury that i dont want to sit in casualty for four hours for them to strap up.) its not that hard, yet i dont see him or Tiger being competitive. Now We just need big phil to get injured and a brit might win!
  10. My friend has a V2 high launch in his g10, it doesnt make much difference to my normal V2 in the mizuno driver.
  11. Yes, its the swing tips Section!
  12. Catchin it fat - Caught it Cakey Poor Put- it wouldnt have been alright if it wernt for that thing on your putter (inspect putter face) No the other end. Leave it short - Throw you purse at it. Good shot - Thats the Dog's Shank - Hosel Rocket

    Mulligans

I'm slightly confused, i often when practising, hit a poor shot and will play another to try and correct the fault but i will still play the first ball and pick up the second, im not sure whether thats a mulligan or not.
  14. Apart from really long holes, you dont need to carry a driver, its the least versatile club in the bag, only 2 possible shots - Drive and Low Punch of the floor, whereas 5 and 7 irons low punch bump and runs, par 3's etc. unless its a really long or a particularly wet and windy day i wouldnt carry a driver. I certainly wouldnt carry a lob wedge, 52 is plenty and it means you donjt have to hit 7i from 110yards. i would consider 6 /8 irons instead, but really depends on the course. any 350 hole, 5 wood then 6 or 8 iron. Battling out the holes isnt a bad thing, works on shots you may get if you hit a poor tee shot, help you react well when those bad shots are in an important event, off exactly the same handicap as me, you dont need a driver or lob wedge, and i dont think the lack of clubs will effect you greatly.
  15. at my course there is a downhill par 5 about 450, in the summer if you fly it about 290 it hits a steep slope and can run onto the green, pros done it, v lucky though, cos the green is raised and the ramp is about 10 yards wide. Often hit Driver wedge into it but still not particularky easy as v.tough green. Pro's done it, more luck than length, i reckon give me and my playing partners 150 pro v's each, one of us would make the shot once.
  16. We have two 5 club challenges at my Club, the scores tend to be reasonably good considering. Really Benefits lower handicaps cos they can hit a wider variety of shots with each club. 5 CLUBS - 4 Wood, 5 iron, 8 iron, Gap Wedge, Putter You find yourself experimenting with shots you wouldnt normally hit, i usually play well and around my handicap.
  17. yeah true, hadnt though about it, off to some pub with the father then.(Friends who would let me in there house at two, wouldnt want me to watch golf and TBH i probably wouldnt be in a fit state)
  18. ooh, get you! anyway no i have never seen this, i have seen the ball get caught in the actual flag and have had a slam dunk, but it would have been a good shot if it had missed the flag.
  19. Anyone from england, you know what channels the golf going to be showing, just sky or are BBC getting some. if not off to the golf course to watch it.
  20. Its not great advise but, i just try not to think about it, if you can get out of them on the practice green or when you dont care, you can do it on the course, bunkers are a strong part of my game and i have a descent sand save %. but i just get into the bunker look up and hit, no practice swings. Gets the Job done!
  21. yeh i'd call it a hole in one, but not a competitive hole in won, possibly a difference there.
  22. Yes, but you can decide where you can miss the green for e.g if you aim left edge of the green, with a fade, a descent golfer should be able to either hit a fade or just not draw it, so you know you wont miss the green left, where the danger is, hence not leaving yourself the hard flop shot.
  23. If your facing lots of high flop shots... Work on your course management not you flop shots.
