  1. Great find. I had forgotten about her.
  2. I'm with you. I don't see the big deal. It's currently the top story on a few golf sites and I think its unwarranted. Typical for the media, I know. He was upset, he expressed it, and that's that.
  3. Probably a combination of the three in unique parts for each person. I'd say I'm some mixture of Natural Talent and Natural Learner. Always been a successful athlete in multiple sports and I still work out regularly. And I always did well in school and when taught something, I'm capable of quickly making the changes. I used to work with a kid who was a Natural Golfer. He was an athlete as well, but about only a year after picking up the game, he was playing some really good golf.
  4. Just caught this story on Golf.com. $10,000 worth of alcohol stolen from US Open tent. That must have been one hell of a party. http://blogs.golf.com/presstent/2013/06/10000-worth-of-alcohol-stolen-from-us-open-tent.html?sct=hp2
  5. I like having more mics and cameras on Tour. I wish we got more footage of the conversations caddies and players have. Every time I hear Bones and Phil talking clubs and yardages, I thoroughly enjoy it. To me, it's interesting to know what process they go through with their club and shot selection.

    Bounce?

Here's a guide from Titleist on choosing the right wedge. http://www.titleist.com/vokey_wedge_guide/#
  8. I would also suggest bagging the driver until you get it worked out on the range. No need to put yourself in a bad spot off the tee during the round.
  9. The story on the PGA Tour site says Ted convinced Bubba to hit a 9 iron instead of 8, which was Bubba's initial desire.
  10. It's hard to tell from the videos. Do you pick the ball? And by that I mean, do you often strike the ball without taking a divot?
  11. Haha, I'm the same. I'll congratulate myself when I hit a good shot while playing alone. If I'm with a group I don't because I fear coming across as gloating.
  12. This without a doubt. You could look into getting your current clubs adjusted for you if you think the standard lie and loft don't fit. But I wouldn't spend money on new clubs at your skill level. Better off spending the money on lessons.
  13. No big deal really. Probably happens more often than we are aware of. Bubba is just getting the attention because the cameras and microphones caught the conversation.
  14. My first bit of advice would be to learn to hit the long irons. There is no need to fear them. With that said, here is a video of Mark Crossfield explaining the difference, pros, and cons of the two.
  15. Good stuff. I appreciate the advice and will definitely work on both areas. Thanks guys.
  16. Yeah, that's a move I started doing a few years back because I had the tendency to lean forward on the backswing.
  17. Downloaded the free home version of V1 and played around with it. Going to be working this week on reducing my lateral movement in the backswing, especially with the head. Didn't realize how much movement I had until I saw it on video.
  18. I would think its definitely in the 7 figures area. The course I worked at was a multi-million dollar estate and they poured money into that place hoping it would become something big. It was owned by a company who built golf resorts around the world. I want to say they were based out of Atlanta.
  19. Its been in discussion in the Travelers Championship thread.
  20. I just set up the league on Yahoo. Need email addresses of those interested in playing so I can send invites. Still not sure how we can do an entry fee or pot prize. Yahoo has "Pro" leagues with entry fees but they are public and don't allow invites to friends.
  21. I refuse to let this thread die... Rachel McAdams
  22. Watching the re-broadcast on Golf Channel. They just put up a graphic showing the leaderboard and their World Golf Rankings. Bubba Watson is 19th in the world?!?! Seriously?! I can think of so many guys I'd have higher ranked than Bubba and it would definitely be more than 18.
  23. Jack Nicklaus says in Golf My Way that he always put the ball just inside his left foot for all clubs. I tried that, but I didn't like the way it looked while I stood over the ball. So I move the ball back for shorter clubs. I'd say a normal full wedge for me is about a ball back from center and it progressively moves forward. A 3 or 4 iron is about at my left armpit. A 3 wood is maybe half a ball forward of that. My driver is in line with my left heel. And of course, all of that is due to change if I wish to alter the trajectory.
  24. I believe I found it. Thanks. That is certainly something I hadn't given much thought to.
  25. If you don't have moleskin, just use some athletic tape. I don't know if a bandaid will last through a round of golf. Especially with taking off and putting on your glove over and over throughout the day. A bandaid covered in athletic tape will probably last.
