What do you do in the offseason instead of golf
M2daRizzle replied to Titleist Man's topic in The Grill Room
no offseason here, but I play more basketball during the winter compared to golf. Its vice-versa in the summer. -
dosent bother me, I would rather watch basketball. (Irealize I am probably in the minority with that opinion on this forum)
-
I believe early march. They were being shown off at several tournaments this year.

I know he used a ping answer 2 for a long while before the Cameron. He used for at least one of his u.s. amateur championships.

powerbilt air force one drivers
M2daRizzle replied to wedge player's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
didnt rife ge a lot of notification for their putters from infomercials. They are the number one putter on the champions tour now. I dont know, Im not into the hype on the powerbilt driver, but Im not going to knock it until I atleast try it out. -
Okay, Im not trying to bash you, but miura makes clubs for a lot of companies. Macgregor, taylormade and titleist I know for a fact have had miura forge irons for them. It is rumored that they have made nike's irons for tiger, but no one can prove that. Miura gets sub-contracted by golf manufacturers all of the time. And Scotty cameron does not, and has never been involved with making irons. He only makes putters. To actually think scotty cameron is standing at one of these machines in china or japan and is pushing a red button to operate the forging machine that produces tigers irons is the dumbest thing I have ever heard anybody try to claim as fact.
-
Because Scotty Cameron only focuses on putters. Thats the way it has been since he started in the business 20 or so years ago. Scotty is not forging irons in the back of his shop in between making all of his putters.

the new nike dymos come in smaller cc versions. I want to say around 380cc's. Its the model Kim has been using and nike says that tiger is going to use when he comes back.

Putting better with a Blade Vs Mallet
M2daRizzle replied to flguy's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I use an arc stroke, and most mallets are face balanced, which dont go well with my stroke. However Im experimenting with a semi-mallet with a plumbers neck which gives it decent toe-hang. Im going to put a jumbo putter grip on it and see how it works out. -
there is a course here that has excellent burgers or bird dogs. both for really cheap too. When I live in California, before I played golf my parents and I would go to the golfcourse near our house every sunday because we could watch the jaguars games because of their sattelite televisions. they had the greatest food vere. their pancakes were delicious.

I have a vintage set that I play with every once in a while for fun. My driver/ 3wood is an ofer 3 in 1. Its the size of a driver with about 13* of loft. I have a set of macgregor mt step soles from the 70's. a couple of old wilson wedges and a macgregor response putter. All of this is in a black and gold wilson staff bag from the 70's. Its a lot of fun and my scores with these clubs are usually about the same as with my normal clubs.

lost and the office are the only shows I schedule my social life around. But if Im bored enough I will turn on the t.v. and watch anything on discovery, history or espn.

I know a lot of homeowners are required to have insurance of this kind to live on a golf course. But that can be different from place to place. I would ask him to check his insurance, but if hes not covered offer half. If he is adament about you paying all unfortunately I think you will have to bite the bullit and pay. If you do try to work out a payment plan like was suggested in an earlier post.

This is what I do, I buy used clubs, although not abused at all, just with normal chatter. I dont worry about chatter marks because my clubs already come that way.

Just because you say not to offend dosent mean its not offensive. Lets judge people on their actions and not on whether or not they are 16 and frequent munis... I have never had anything stolen except for the occasional ball that someone picks up on accident. I never leave my bag out of my sight though.
-
I just throw a towel overmy clubs. Keeps them from banging around and gives me access to it after every shot to whipe down my clubs. Its a simple, no fess solution. p.s. I have to say that my clubs look far from new, and I like it that way. golf clubs are made to be played and they get naturally dinged up over time if they are used even by the most anal retentive, overly protective golfer (last statement not aimed at anybody in particular)

What's the closest call you've had on a golf course?
M2daRizzle replied to blue3715's topic in Golf Talk
copper heads are deadly. I had a neighbor get killed by one when it bit him in his leg while he was mowing the lawn. they are especially dangerous to kids and pets. If one ever gets within 3 feet of you like it did with the op feel free to reach out and give it a pat on the head, but if one ever gets within three feet of me I am going to make sure that its head is separated from its body. And I dont think losing a stroke was the reason the op killed the snake, it probably had more to do with being in danger of being bitten and killed. -
Who has the best swing and worst swing on tour?

yuengling lager will always be my favorite american beer. I like a black and tan every once in a while as well. I also really enjoy heiniken every once in a while, but it dosent taste the same out of the bottle ever since I had it straight from the brewery. I like redstripe every once in a while. When I was in amsterdam all I drank was rochefort 10 or rochefort 12 if I felt like getting crazy and it is my all time favorite and can never be topped. Its belgian and impossible to find state side. I could order it online but cant bring myself to pay $6 a bottle.

I found a wallet stuffed with cash once that I imediately turned in, I dropped everything and drove back to the club house because Im sure that guy was going to freak out when it went missing. Ive found wedges on the greens that I have always turned in.

What are some things (IYO) every course should have?
M2daRizzle replied to Bump-n-MI's topic in Golf Talk
Im going to add to mine by saying players should have the ability to walk 18 everyday of the week. Most people say that they slow pace of play, but in my experience when Im in a foursome of walkers we always get done faster then if we had to ride in carts. -

Impressed with gadget that course marshall had...

any idea what the product was called? -
these would be my suggestions as well, a girl here at clemson was texting and listening to her ipod when she stepped into the street and got hit by one of the buses on campus. She lived but had to get her foot amputated. Also, my great grandparents were both killed when a semi truck didnt see them and merged into their lane and ran their car over. I try to avoid being near big trucks on the highway at all costs.
