  1. Haha it’s football season for me. Usually stay quiet from Aug-Feb, but I have been following. It’s been impressive. Guess the rest has done him well. He looks like he did at Augusta. Would be great to see him get 82 here and 83 at either Torrey or Bay Hill.
  2. How’d the rest of that season go for him after that major? 🧐
  3. It depends what you put emphasis on. I’m big on majors, so Koepka’s majors performances outweighs Rory’s Players win and Fed Ex win, in my mind. But if I’m a player and don’t weigh majors in much and look at all the body of work, then yes, I would prilly lean Rory. It’s all on what how big majors weigh. Rory really did nothing in them but did a lot in everything else.
  4. I get that. I’m just saying I disagree with their voting, that’s all. I personally thought Brooks should have won it, and this coming from a McIlroy fan in myself.
  5. Major wins + performance > Consistency That’s just my opinion.
  6. Calling it now...Koepka wins all four majors next year. Surprised. Koepka won a major and WGC and finished top-5 in all the majors. Rory won zero majors. Hell, he didn’t even contend in a major.
  7. Yeah I’ve always said when Rory is on, he is as close to Tiger in his prime as you will get. It’s just not a lot, unfortunately. It comes and goes. And it usually has to do with the putter. That’s usually the club that kills him. When it’s on, watch out.
  8. McIlroy won at Liverpool, not St.George’s. I will actually go with Spieth as I think he recovers next year and wins the Masters where I think he’s comfortable. Just my prediction. McIlroy will have a good shot at PGA though where he won the Match Play a few years back (Harding Park).
  9. Wonder if Koepka caught TGC last night. If so, he would have heard Chamblee say he didn’t think Koepka could beat McIlroy this week.
  10. Wish they would have started the leader at Even instead of -10 so it felt more like a US Open instead of a Canadian Open. But all jokes aside, I like the format so far.
  11. He seems to at least be expanding his horizons now to try and win WGCs and FedEx Cups...not just majors. Maybe one day he’ll take the 3M Championship seriousl....ehhh...maybe not.
  12. He finished 2nd. That’s not laying an egg. Again, didn’t say he “always wins” when he wants to win, but he seems to either win or come damn close.
  13. It’s almost like when Koepka wants to win, he wins. And if he doesn’t win, he’s damn close. When was the last time he played a tournament where he probably wanted to win really bad and laid an egg? I guess the ‘18 Open but even then he rebounded after an awful start. 15 million reasons to motivate him this week so yoI know he’s all in.
  14. Not necessarily. You still use the scoring system they have in place as the main leaderboard. You just give a separate check to whoever has the lowest 72-hole total. Don’t even have to call them the Tour champion. Just give them a prize for best score. I don’t see the harm in that or how it defeats the purpose of the Fed Ex Cup leaderboard and race. That’s still the main focus.
  15. I personally think they should have a separate prize for the lowest 72-hole aggregate score but continue to use the new format. You can crown the Fed Ex champion and then give a trophy to the player with the lowest 72-hole score. To me, that would make more people happy with the new format.
  16. Agree with this. Actually thinking the majors should even get you an exemption into the Tour Championship. But it will never happen like that. The USGA, R&A and Augusta National have no influence on what the PGA/Fed Ex does with their tourneys and the overall points.
  17. Exactly. It’s like a teacher who keeps telling a student if they don’t put their phone away, they’re going to take it away, but never actually take it away. They just keep warning them. If you don’t actually enforce the consequences, they’ll keep breaching the rules.
  18. He played five times and barely got any points in those five. He chose to skip the WGC. It is what it is. Amazing how the year looked so promising after the Masters for him and that was really it. Feels like watching a movie with a great story at the start and then just flames out completely.
  19. Unless Tiger can basically birdie the Entire back 9, it appears his season will end today. Who would have thought that after winning the Masters he wouldn’t make it to East Lake.
  20. Going to be tough. As good a day as he had he actually is still in 39th. And course is now playing super soft. Needs a huge day tomorrow.
  21. The dumbest argument is that he can win only at Augusta moving forward. Like what the heck? The British Open is the easiest major for a 40+ year old to win. Clarke, Els, Phil, Stenson all did it in the last 8 years in their 40s. Watson and Norman almost did it in their 50s. And Zach J was only a few months from 40 when he won. He just has to have the drive and the health. If he doesn’t have the health, well then he can’t win at Augusta either.
  22. To me, it just proves the guy is another Sergio. Flipping middle fingers and acting like a Baby on the course.
  23. Definitely walking better today. Does seem to be swinging it a little easier than he was earlier in the year, but other than that, he looks fine thus far which is good.
  24. I don’t know. I just read Bob Harig’s article on ESPN and he said he looked good so that’s someone other than Tiger saying it.
  25. Not good, but he did say he felt good and those who watched him play said he looked solid, so I guess we’ll see.
