forget the club, think about what a broken wrist would feel like! to me, its a game, that i enjoy, and what others do is their business. i dont play for money, so thats irrelevent.

im happy for you and your son that you both have that opportunity/fortune. i did not. i started with a set left on the side of the road after a garage sale. the game by its nature (cost) excludes a segment of the population. i dont think that enforcing a dress code and adding more expenses to start up the game is helping out. my opinion. also, i would like to revise my earlier comment. upon thinking about it further, i would say its wrong to say that someones attire is an indicator of how they treat the course. dressed up, dressed down, both groups have their fair share of scumbags. we notice the ones that our prejudices lead us to.

nico, i agree with everything youve said. NVM, get a clue. the ones who dont fix their divots, ball marks, whatnot, are the ones who have the same holier than thou attitude you have. they feel someone else can do it for them instead. dress codes keep young, underpriveleged (read-black) youths out of the game. same with tennis, hockey, anything else that has a high cost to play. putting a dress code on top of the already escalating greens fees is harmful for the game, IMHO. peace.

i like michelle. i hope she does well, and i think she has been shafted a lot in her life despite her obvious gifts, talent, and fortune.

i like the lpga too, but its not gaining any new fans, i dont think. i dont think enough is being done to get minorities and girls in the game, and i really dont know what can be done about that. its too bad.

thats what the people i play with are for. or go to the local big box golf place and spend the day hitting different clubs. its kind of hard getting personal info from people online. besides, i would say (not that what i say counts for squat...) that a custom fitting counts for much more than the specific clubs/brands you hit. JMHO.

you didnt take my entire quote into consideration. they dont have "real jobs" like the rest of the world. for example, being a club pro at the local muny is real job, just like being a teacher, construction worker, lawyer... playing on the PGA tour isnt a real job, and he really shouldnt be whining. get a lesson from a PGA pro. your driver swing will normally be somewhat flatter than your iron swings, due to the length of the club. shorter clubs will usually lead to a more upright swing if your swing is consistent.
