  1. The ZB's if anything. Your swing speed is in the x-stiff range I believe. It all depends on your tempo and how hard you load the shaft.
  2. I'm pretty sure they'll include the tool with purchase. It would be like them selling all their MWT and FCT technology drivers without the wrench. Either way, I probably won't be buying these unless the reviews are like out of this world.
  3. 2 wrongs don't make a right pal. I would've done the exact same thing the OP did and what he did was right. Classy of you to call the OP a dick for doing the right thing. I'm glad your parents raised you well.
  4. I have a friend that's pretty bad and we played on a course and it was just frustrating looking for his ball everytime. He's one of those guys that hits a shot, gets angry and just walks away without watching where his ball goes. So I have to keep an eye on it and I lose focus on my game. Anyway, the only tips I usually give on the course is if someone is aligned wrong, I tell them. I know some people don't like to be given advice so I try not to get into that. If you want to really help your buddy, just go with him to the range and work it out, or you could get him lessons :p
  5. I have a chance to acquire a classic 983k with a Fuji Speeder 757 X flex. I'm getting it for a dirt cheap and want to try it out for the heck of it. Anyone have any info on this shaft? I know it's a "made for" and realize it won't be exactly the same as the original Fuji. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. I was about to ask the same thing, what's wrong with the R9 you have?
  7. I usually use my 52* wedge and put the ball back in my stance (my right toe). Depending how far the pin is, I do a short backswing and accelerate through the ball. Make sure you have a descending blow to pop the ball out of the thick stuff. Also, keep your weight on your leading leg to assure a downward strike. Distance wise, it's different in every situation but just keep on practicing and you'll eventually get it down.
  8. I upgraded from the R7 460 to the R7 Limited this season and it has been wonderful to me. I played with the stock Matrix 5.5 stiff shaft for a bit but it was way too spinny for me. I put in a Proforce V2 and I've been hitting it better than ever. Also, the price for these are very reasonable now too. 5 stars from me!
  9. Haha, isn't that the truth! Nice round btw
  10. Very good ball. I noticed a distance increase as well. Apparently the 07-08 3 piece ball is better than the new 4 piece.
  11. Thanks for the replies. I was about to buy one locally for $120. Luckily I saw a post on another forum and I got a White Hot Tour #9 for $99! Can't wait for it to come in.
  12. Excellent. Thank you! By the way, since you game one, how is it?
  13. Is this a face balanced or toe balanced putter? I might pick one up since I'm thinking about switching to a malletish putter from my usual blade style.
  14. These are some great balls! I tried a 2 ball trial pack this weekend and shot my best round of 5 over. Great distance, great feel, and excellent greenside abilities. My new ball for this year.
  15. Are you sure you're hitting it 300+ most of the time? Do you use some sort of GPS? I'm sure you hit it far but being able to outdrive most of the players on tour is hard to swallow. If you are legitimate in your distances then I'll eat my words. To answer your question, I'm going to say no. If you're hitting it great why change? Like the old saying goes, "if it aint broke, dont fix it" Don't get greedy and try to gain an extra 15-20 yards. Since you're a 14 handi with driving of 300+, you're short game must be horrendous. I'd work on that.
  16. Some of the newer Wilson irons have thin top lines. Ci7 I believe? There are a couple out there from them, I was actually debating on picking up a set too.
  17. Nice! I got the C-03 putter and its awesome. Kicked my scotty out of the bag and for $90, you can't beat it!
  18. I game the MP-R's and they're fantastic wedges. They're more of a tear dropped shape like said and make them easier to hit. I'm selling my set if you're interested
  19. Meh, they're alright. I was more impressed with the irons that my buddy bought from them last year. The wedges seemed way too light. Vokeys etc, feel a bit more heavier and have a lot more feel. If you're on a budget like stated earlier, you could try them out.
  20. Danny is sure going to be a great player. He played well today but the last couple holes he fell apart. Hopefully he'll bounce back tomorrow and make a run for it.
  21. TM's "R" lineup has been great for me. I originally started with the R7 460 and absolutely killed that thing. Stupid me, decided to sell it thinking something I could do even better. I went through the G10, Tour Burner, but couldn't get the same distance and accuracy from the R7. Now, I tried out the R9 and it was a great driver. Good distance, good feel, overall a solid club. I was planning on getting it but I went for the R7 Limited. The R9 is a lot more expensive due to the different settings and I really have no need for that. The Limited has been great to me and if it wasn't for the price, I may have had the R9 in the bag.
  22. Is there supposed to be a link in your post?
