  1. I actually got it to work. I purchased an engineer's 4lb hammer from the hardware store. The problem was that the stamps I got from harbor Freight were garbage. It was a flat tip with the letter on top. I looked at other sets and the stamp came to a point with the letter on the tip. This made the stamp imprint onto the metal a lot easier. Once I got a new set from Hanson everything worked great. Just one hard whack and the letters came out perfect.
  2. No one has any ideas?
  3. I know some people don't like the idea of this but I'm the kind that does. I really like the look of personalized clubs with initials or names on it. I just purchased a hand stamping kit from Harbor Freight and was wondering if anyone has tried this before? I tried on some old clubs but it's not working out too well. I heard it's supposed to be 1 firm blow but I've tried that and it barely makes an imprint. I've tried several blows but the stamp kind of jumps around making an ugly and faint print. I've tried the double sided sticky tape but that still doesn't do the trick. Any tips or tricks from people that have tried this? Thanks
  4. I live in PA too. I actually went out to play a round. Boy was I rusty, but it felt good to be out again.
  5. Wow. That stinks. I'm glad I moved out of CA then. :p
  6. Gotta agree with #4. That innovation changed my world for some reason.
  7. LOL. I was thinking the exact same thing today while I was driving home!
  8. Yeah it's around there. Those prices usually vary from shop to shop. It's very easy to regrip them yourself and will save you some money. There's a lot of how to's and videos on the web if you search for it. I used to take mine to a shop but once I found out how easy it was. I was kicking myself in the butt.
  9. My MP-33's are grain flow forged.
  10. How much are you looking to spend? My buddy got a set of Bose headphones that are absolutely incredible. The sound quality is amazing.
  11. I thoroughly clean mine a day or so after a round. I'm too tired after 18 to whip them all out and scrub them down. During play though, I take my brush and towel and wipe them down after a shot.
  12. Yeah, I retract my earlier statement. Looks like Ogilvy has this one in the bag.
  13. Ogilvy seems to be breaking down right now. Kim and Love are right on his butt.
  14. I believe my local shop uses an air gun of some sort and shoots air up the grip to release the sticky bonds holding the tape. I'm so glad I learned how to regrip myself. Saves a lot of money and time.
  15. Depends how good your golf team is. Do you know what you have to shoot to make the team? If you have no chance of making the team, stick with volleyball.
  16. I'm quite content with my R7 460. Honestly, I've changed my weights once eversince I got it. I didn't like it and set it back up for a draw. Like Iacas said, people usually set their weights and forget about it.
  17. I've been watching this all day on the Golf Channel.
  18. I think it's a combination of both physical and mental abilities performing at top notch. Yeah, you need to be good. I mean real good. As stated earlier a +2 would probably minimal. But what separates the elite from the best is the ability to make good shots day in and day out. You see guys like Adam Scott who has the ability to duel Tiger and may I even say beat him? But his mental game is nowhere near Tiger's and that's why Tiger is the best golfer in the world. No one can come close to playing at that level.
  19. I have a Winn AVS. I might change to the Scotty studio though.
  20. Why is that? Let's say in 5 years, when you're 23 years old and get to scratch or better? That's still too late to make it on tour?
  21. A couple courses in my area allow this. They only let oncoming groups play off the back 9 if there's no one on the 9th hole. That way there will be no holdup or traffic.
  22. Acqua Di Gio. I've been wearing it since highschool and all the ladies love it :]
