The internet does not reveal anything to support such a claim, therefore you must be mistaken, The internet is never wrong.

Here's the bet. Assuming the pursuit of a Tour card holds, who wins their first Tour event? Charlie, or this Russell kid? Bet is off if Miles Russell signs with LIV.

Now that I have taken getting better seriously, golf is hard. I meet with an instructor about every three weeks now, and I'm on the course in some capacity every day practicing or playing or both. I usually get in a minimum of 9 a day. I'm only slowly seeing positive results on a regular basis. I'm leaning towards this guy not ever beating the 3. Unless he dedicates his life to getting better I dont know. Maybe. One thing working against me is I've been playing forever without formal instruction until a few sessions last year with an instructor and now. It takes a good while to get something ingrained in you for it to work every time. I'm rambling, so yeah, scratch my earlier vote and I'll go with the 3 with an *

Not Sure What to Put in the Bag as a 14th Club
snapfade replied to StKildaSenators's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
So according to the above paragraph, you hit the driver between 179-280 yards. I am no instructor but one thing I would take a look at is where are you hitting the ball on the clubface. Foot powder spray is good for this. Also, what flex shaft are you playing in the driver? To weak of a shaft for your swing speed can cause problems. A fitter/ instructor can help you there. Aside from just a faulty swing, those are a couple of things that could play into your shotgun blast of drives. I speak from experience. -
I all but guarantee Rahm is having second thoughts. Just my opinion of course.

I still use the "hit it on the screws" from time to time.

So I played in my first league match and it was fun. I bogeyed every freaking hole. A 9 over 45. No real trend in the hiccups, a chunk here, a missed put there, fly one in the water, flew the green on a par three. There were 5 of us in our group and we got around in 2 hrs and 8 minutes walking. Not too bad. A load of fun.

Taking 5 strokes off your handicap is no small feat. I would agree in meeting with an instructor and practice. One thing that will help you is getting something that tracks your shots, i.e; Shot Scope or similar. After a handful of rounds that will give you true data on where you need to focus your practice. Also, take a look at your course management, that's a whole different topic but something to look at. I met with an instructor a year or so ago and in one quick look he identified my alignment issue in my set up, made a change and it helped considerably. I meet with with the instructor more often now and hopefully this time next year I'll be a little lower. Currently 15.7. It's a journey. Another thing that will help you is to compete. There's various tournament leagues, maybe one at your course that's flighted you can get in. Makes you think before you strike. If you want to get better once a week at the range probably wont be enough. There's drills here you can do inside or in the backyard if you have one. Do something everyday. Oh you said you don't have a ton of discretionary income so one thing you can do is post your swing here and Erik @iacasand a few others can give you some pointers. It's free, they are happy to help.

Various Cocoa Beach business put together teams for the league. You don't have to work for the company just the team name/ original "manager" still plays on some of the teams or either no one in the office ever took it off the list. I belong to Cocoa Beach A.C. and no one on the team works there. Good question. Didn't come up in conversation this evening. I'll ask, but depending on who I ask I'm sue I'll get different answers. Interesting to me, I've only played in Am Tour events and you had to play it as it lies. I didn't know it was a thing.

This is the first time I have played in this league but here is an interesting local rule they use. You are allowed to move your ball one score card length in either direction to improve your lie. Scorecard has to be in the folded position though. I love beachside golf. The other rule is you got to walk unless you have a handicap placard.

PGAT is all about Scottie right now and rightfully so. The PGAT has it's star right now and some potential good guys hoping Scottie takes some time off. The LIV guys are of the radar until the PGA. There will be the Rory/ Hovland rumors to keep the fire smoldering until then. You will probably get your wish as time moves on. What I like most about LIV is they are funded by a regime that has numerous human rights violations and the players don't seem to care. The fans certainly don't seem to mind. I admit, I went to LIV Miami to check it out, it wasn't empty. I didn't see anyone protesting.

After 393 pages of replies can we all agree that Tiger is the GOAT?

Hmmm, seems odd. I have ordered several things from them and have never had an issue, so I'm confident it will be resolved. I'm sending the watch back, I don't care for it, Ill just use the H4. There's nothing technically wrong with it, I just don't like it.

The current buzz his might switch caddies. A possible call to Stevie Williams maybe? He hasn't won a major with Diamond on the bag, maybe a call to JP to come back? He's got to do something or Greg might up the ante. Could you imagine Chamblee the day that happened?

I',m rooting for Shipley to finish in the top 20. He's already clinched low amateur. He's not a baffoon, he's a patron. He bought a ticket just like everyone else. lol That had to be a blow to his ego haha.

Mine arrived today. I'll have it on the course tomorrow.

I would add from personal experience that TV doesn't do it justice. I thought it was ridiculous in some places. Understanding Augusta National Golf Club's crazy elevation changes Walking Augusta National Golf Club is the same as walking roughly forty flights of stairs in both directions. Golfers and caddies are guaranteed to...
